Yeah, a couple hundred. I wish. As usual it's just gonna be 2 or 3 l33t corps/people who get the BPOs and sell the ships for insane prices. --- I bring you joy, I bring you pain, I bring you some sunshine And some rain. |

I think the reason ( In part ) to the high prices, is the high prices and lack of Tech II construction components.
I fully support the limited release of Tech II BP's. Although I think there should be a few more released than there are currently. It will help keep the economy healthy.

Didn't I read somewhere that the skill requirements for building the assault frigates were higher than those for the interceptors?
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if people were (a) training skills, (b) shopping for components, (c) selling directly to select customers.
Guess we're not sufficiently "select". I'll survive...

Yeah you will probably need some uber skills to build them, I expect to see them pretty soon though.
I won't be buying one for a while though as they will no doubt be very expensive ----------

ok since when are yu playing the game? seriously there never was an abundance of t2 bpos................it always took time from the moment the ships appeared in market till they the playerbase in bpo form, and then you have to wait till prices stabilize at a STILL high level...................
ints took more than a month from market stage till they were on market actually.......
All of above post was formulated wth 100% honesty and 100% sarcasm. Now i only need to get drunk
The 3rd turret is the Malediction is missing. Plz make as much noise as possible so that CCP gets us a remedy for that, possibly before X-Mas this year. |

If I remember right, comparatively, Covert Ops frigs started appearing sooner than Assault Frigs after their release. Well, at least I can already buy the skill book. --- I bring you joy, I bring you pain, I bring you some sunshine And some rain. |

I agree - looking at the stats it takes more than 1 day to put 1 level of ME and and longer for 1 level of PE on to an elite frig BPO. Then it takes even longer to produce a BPC on top of that. I would expect around a couple of weeks at least b4 we start to see these ships hitting the markets in any real amounts

ok... Tindel... these are tech 2 ships, like interceptors.
the BP's are released in limited quantitys through R&D agents.
they are meant to be special and rare, and they take some very harsh skill req's to build, as well as tech 2 components...

From what I see and hear on the forums the skill required to make them is 1 week training atleast.

The making stuff rare and trying to hold of the release as long as possible is just a developer trick to increasing the "content value" of something as much as possible without any extra work.
Or maybe its a design flaw, either way i dont like it.

From my knowledge they require Frigate Construction 5, which can take quite some time. If someone anticipated this, they could be out very soon, if the ppl with BPs started training when getting them, its still at least 10 days id say.

Yes, I've seen screenshots of one if the prints, and I can confirm that Frigate Construction 5 (rank 2) is required. And since there are no actual benefits of having it higher than the required level for building the previous elite frigate I don't think anyone has bothered training it higher.

The time-to-market has nothing to do with developers stretching "content value", it has to do with giving the players that are lucky enough to get the bpo's some market exclusivity before the prices drop to more reasonable levels.
