It can be confirmed that 23:25 this evening that the clone contract of one Archbishop of PIE Inc. had to be forcably terminated by members of The Causality during operations in aid of the Minmatar Militia and repelling incursions into Republic space from the extremist Amarrian Militia.
A veteran pilot, he was likely engaged in soliciting slave traffic (as it is rumored he has a penchant for young male Brutor), or looking to acquire forward intel for his allies or targets of opportunity.
Having eluded our rear guard, and used the improved Stealth Bomber cloaking to bypass our squad, he ran afoul our forward scout in Kourmonen where he was tackled and our squad engaged him; terminating his vessel and his capsule.
When asked to comment, Archbishop had this to say: "Heathens all!"
Sadly his death is only temporary and backup clones will have been activated in the meantime, but we still take pride in performing this service for the Republic and enemies of such extremist religious fanatics and slavers across New Eden. We can only hope that some tiny flaw in the rejuvenation process has left him more brain damaged than he was already reputed to be.
The corpse itself can not be displayed for public viewing as it was unrecovered from my own wreckage during a successful assault on a Vagabond piloted by Amarr Militia that led to mutual destruction.
However, links to copies of the official termination documents can be found on our corporation killboard.

The title of this thread raised my hopes too high.
Cheers anyway for the righteous kill.

Since when is mutual destruction a successful assualt?

Not really news. Had I posted an announcement on every Electus Matari member I ever podded I would have been as annoying on these forums as Jade Constantine was at the time.
I'm also very sure somebody like Archbishop won't let death stop him in his goals. He'll be back preaching the good word of god in no time.

According to our records, five confirmed poddings, of four pilots total, one of which a known spy and another known to have sought such fights to death for personal reasons, in two years total.
That would hardly result in Constantine-level of forum activity.

Unfortunately this is very likely true.
Nice work from The Causality, anyway, and cheering news.

When you fly a suicide tackle into a superior vessel and lose only one tenth the resources you destroy. The Militia campaigns are a war of attrition, losses are unavoidable. Minimizing loss whilst maximising damage done is the focus of my strategy, hence I can lose my ship but the destruction of the Vagabond still makes it a success. *** *** London Pub Meet 01/08/09 - Sign Up Now! *** *** |

Please return to this community when you have something noteworthy to report, pilot Midnighter. Crooning over a Crusader's brief detour to the clone vats is nothing to be terribly proud of (nor is the kill on a particularly defenseless, fragile ship such as a stealth bomber). Knowing the Archbishop, he's already plugged back in, conducting his work for the Empire as he has done so for the entirety of his life.
I suggest, if you really want to make a difference in the Matari/Amarrian conflict, that you focus on retaking the systems you held onto early in the campaign. Death is meaningless to the capsuleer. The conquering and subjugation of territory is what will determine the victor in your little squabble.

Certainly not I, as anyone may come here to say what they wish (as I, and these other pilots, have demonstrated). I have just grown increasingly perplexed over the importance placed on cloneloss when it amounts to little, if any, tactical importance in a conflict such as the TLF/24IC encounter. Pilot Midnighter, as well as the rest of the TLF, should be placing importance on system reclaimation. That is why the 24IC have become so successful, and turned a rather dire tide back to it's front, and then some.
When, or if, this war ends the records will show fiscal claims and the pivotal battles that swayed the tide: not the inevitable fate of every capsuleer who takes to the stars. But I digress. Pardon my statements as little more than frustrations with the human mind. Let it not detract from what enjoyment this news brings to you.
If this war continues to progress as it has, it may be the only comfort to remain.

Edited by: Alica Wildfire on 25/04/2009 12:53:00 I don't think there is any joy in death. Not for myself, not for the people not for my enemy. We do not fight for hate, we fight for freedom. And with every enemy dead one freedom died. You only can justify the death of one warrior if you tried to free many for it.
But for Archbishop this could mean two things. Either to hate us even more, which gives him more strength. Or to realize that there is indeed no god.
Or better to say it like this:
God is not transfering souls. He is taking them home. This is what you can read in the scriptures of our enemies. So the "soul" that is inhabiting the new Archbishop now is either a gift from satan, which means "the earth belongs to satan and sin, the heaven to god and the true believers" or he has to deal with the fact, that there is no heaven, no hell, no god.
Just us. And we made it possible, scientists made it possible -a good part of them Sebiestor slaves under the Amarr whip- that he lives on. And that there is nothing like a soul inside of him. That he is indeed completly secular and his praying to a god is in the best case unheared, in the worst case collective mass hysteria that let to millions of death in the name of something that does not exist.
If it comes to this insight by this, I have something to celebrate. For death, I only have mourning. -- FREEDOM, PUNK & AUTOCANNONS

Did I mention my enormous schlong? It can do the Kessel Run in 4 parsecs.

Indeed I can confirm the destruction of one of my stealth bombers. I was engaged in market evaluation surveys in the area when I was attacked. When locked by the tackler ship instead of retreating to the gate to jump back I attacked. This despite knowing I would almost certainly be destroyed as the activation of my weapons led to my being unable to jump.
Still I know as every Amarrian loyalist knows there is no surrender... No retreat... Only service. I will not be discouraged from the holy mission by the loss of a ship. Battle is never really won or lost merely experienced. All of us, friend and foe understand this.
Fortunately I was able to transmit my market data to my home on Sarum Prime before I was attacked. Data that will allow me to expand the market to Amarrian faithful and law abiding pilots. Despite its unfortunate end I view the mission as accomplished.
As for those who attacked me I will continue to serve God and empire. You have not shaken the resolve of this simple Amarrian servant. You have my respect as opponents in battle, my disgust due to your actions and my prayers that you will find God and repent for your many sins.
I will see you again I am sure. Rest assured I will take this experience and return even stronger. Such is the resolve needed to defeat the enemies of Amarr.

Indeed... when compared to the power of God and when considering the fact our very lives are only for His glory we can be nothing but simple. The lies of the Minmatar that the Amarr are arrogant and egotistical obviously are just that... lies. The Amarr is humble, simple and obedient. There is no "me" in empire.

Ah, and there is a Impropriatrix Aubrietia Isoscele in Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris (aka PIE Inc.) by the way, which roughly translates as "Those who maliciously wander on sandals". As well as there is a Pericoxitis Atrabilarious Empire in it which I would translate as "Those who endanger the dark empire". As well as I can find "Exarteritis Puboiliac Impresario" in it means make it dry for the public in present which makes not much sense to me.
So I ask: can that be just coincidence?
