Though I have noticed there is alot of hate out there for any one who isnt Caldari or Amaar, I would like to say that Gallente can hold there own in any fight. The Gallente ships have power of numbers (drones) and good mid and close range weapons. I would also like to say that EWAR is just as good as anyone else if used correctly. So if you got some love for the gallente, and dont think they should be listed last in every race ranking, say something. And if you disagree, i guess you can say something too.

You're right, they should be listed slightly above minmatar, and far far below amarr/caldari.

Really, i think that they could hold thier own if given a chance. Also i think that alot is left to the make up of the gang or fleet

Heh, I see. Well, best of luck to you then. Talk to me in a year once you've got some experience and SP to back up these bold claims you make. Please bear in mind that the Arazu is, bar none, my favorite ship in game.
I don't fly it because it sucks.

Sell it and by a Taranis? If you insist on flying the Keres, the fit is really straight forward.

You've made like three threads about the Keres over a space of a few weeks. Haven't you flown a few yet? I was hoping you'd tell us if they were any good or not. I guess I'll have to get some blown up and see for myself.

Arazu has its strong points since QR, especially as faction scrams are cheap as chips.

havent flown a Keres yet becaus i am very new at this game and i have a few days left till my skills are done for the tech 2 EWAR ship. I have been asking alot because i am a big fan of crowd control, i would rather not lose my first multi million isk ship because i dont know what to fit it with

The fit is self-explanatory: rails, mwd, point, damps, overdrive/nano. Don't rig it. Consider replacing a damp with a scram, but that'd require you to get in close with no real buffer.

Best use for damps is with locking time script in combination with a falcon. Falcon breaks the locks on people and the arazu keeps them from regaining those locks. The plan would be to do it so the Falcon is breaking locks down the list of primaries and the arazu is damping them one target back. The falcon does not keep anyone permajammed he just breaks as many locks as he can and the damps make it so long to re-lock that the falcon can keep so many people from ever having a lock for more than ten seconds that it is theoretically more effective than just having two falcons...
Theoretically of course, I have not tested this in combat enough to really say for certain whether it is more effective than simply two falcons or not.

Much of what I learned when I first started Eve still applies today - and quite honestly, the change in Eve over a year is really quite small. At least in a year he'd be able to actually interpret and find use cases for those bonuses somewhat correctly.
How long did it take them to nerf nano? And again? How long did it take them to nerf ECM? And again? How long did it take them to boost lasers? ... the list goes on ... and on ... and on ...

Works better in theory than practice.

Keres is good but you gotta be fast on your feet. Knowing how to fly an Interceptor is a must, because a slow Interceptor with a dampener bonus and no appreciable damage output is essentially all that the Keres is. Personally I like it, although it isn't really appropriate for most of the gangs I fly with now. I think it's better for smaller gangs taking on smaller targets in belts or missions as opposed to gates or stations (obviously.)

Dont they all have a strong point last i checked? Gallente ships arent horrible when it comes to ewar, and are decent at running missions. If anything, there needs to be drone damage modules to help them.

Any Amarr ship without both a web and MWD will generally die to similar class Gallente ship, as they'd have no way to hold that vaunted range advantage.

Much of the Gallante whining comes from those who remember when blaster megas and NOS domi ruled the world almost unopposed. The idea that their ships might actually lose a fight is intolerable...
