Makes sense. With the T2 weapons coming, the usual goodies will be devalued quickly, anyway. Think this is CCP's way of helping that along. Heck, even when these mods aren't worth much in the near future, it beats what we were getting most of the time.

Maybe its ships linked? Got a mission with a cargo ship guarded by 5 Depredators. They dropped almost identical loot - all of them had a ECM Burst and ECM WHite noise plus one or two other sensor related modules.

Edited by: Galton Grimm on 01/09/2004 00:52:36 Please help me. Strangers have been filling my pockets with hundred dollar bills. At this rate I'll have to buy pants with larger pockets.
What? People are getting named guns? Ok that's not good, I never get named guns, and I haven't gotten an implant in months, doesn't that seem a little strange, to get one on the third mission for an agent then zilch after that? I keep track of which important missions I get, and the one that resulted in the implant hasn't happened but the one time, yet I repeatedly get the same two other important missions. If this is truly random, then the implant mission has a much lower percentage chance of turning up than the other missions. Either that or the list of important missions has changed.

Yep... after further observation i can say it's ship type linked. Serpentis defenders only drop cargo, ship and survey scanners. Serpentis chief sentinels and drug barons drop sensor modules. (sensor boosters, amplifiers, backups)

Seems Soldiers are the same as Defenders... yield from one Blockade mission: 4x Survey Scanner, 5x Ship Scanner and 6x Cargo Scanner.
Also had a Shadow Drug Baron without any Shadow gear.

It now definitely looks like the Swedish chef has meddled with the loot tables, again. The tables do seem to be a lot smaller and more specific; obvious side-effect: your chance of getting a named item is higher. Not sure if that is good or bad, but since there are still inconsistencies (e.g. heavy missiles on Angel Marauders who don't even use them), the current situation is far from ideal. |

I'll gladly take a loot nerf to get away from all those Scanners
Gone Berserk got me 8 Cargo Scanners, 6 Ship Scanners and 2 Survey Scanners. And I've got plenty more of those since the patch.

Well my initial luck with some of the mercenary loot tables has turned into pure crap for the regular blockade mission for example :
I got 25 crates of PURE CRAP. I mean, I wasted more timing collecting the loot then killing them off - but it was ammo, scanners, shield hardeners, ALL basic items :S and more of the same. Not a single named item of value :)
Now I dont complain, because overall I still got good loot - but by no means I think the totality of good stuff has gone bunkers - just a few missions, and a few times a day give a higher concentration, and the others are perhaps a bit worse then pre-patch. |

Last night I ran a Gone Berserk mission for a Level II effective Quality 29 Internal Security agent. While the stuff the Guristas dropped was the usual junk, I still need to figure out the best way to use the Dread Guristas Co-Processor that the Dread Guristas Destructor dropped.
Maybe I was just lucky for a change. ------------------------------------So many skills, so little time... |

Yep, no weapons at all last night from Serps...It really sucked....All sensors stuff...
Low end rats...Named Ore Scanner and Ship Scanners...
Seems the randomness has gone away....
I do like all the named cargo expanders though....

They sell for 45-50m so thats a nice profit for an L2 agent :-) |

Think they may have toned down the loot tables during downtime. Or at least the loot I'm getting isn't as good as last night.
