I appreciate the offer on the setup....But no sense setting up a ship that no longer exists. It was a work on progress. I tried going to sleep and waking up with all the skills and everything I needed for an armor tanking setup but it didnt happen. It seemed to have worked fine until the raping I recieved from this mission. Some easy missions some challenging ones. This was beyond challenging by my standards.

Here's my setup for the Domi for that particular mission:
Highs: 4x250 Proto rails with AM ammo, 2X Heavy Nos.
Meds: 5xCap Re II's
Lows: 2x named LAR's, 2x hardeners: Kinetic and Thermal, three Cap Relays.
Heavy Drones: Wasps <-- your primary weapon.
Warp in at 15 km.
Handles those Mordu fellas really well.

Edited by: Myyona on 01/09/2004 06:18:40 Here's a nice trick when the battle is going against you: ESC->Quit. I know it's not well seen to do it in PvP, but who really cares when it's against rats. +----------------------------------+ Food and shelter save lifes, guns doesn't. |

It seems rats are adjusted according to your ship - e.g. more difficult in a BS then in a cruiser and a frigate.
This would explain why I did it in a crusader. I had to leave for a repair after they webbed me first time, but once I got back it was simple.

Edited by: Diicc Tater on 01/09/2004 06:50:20 I've had a good nights sleep to mend my deep running wounds after this mission.
There I was thinking The Blockade was getting easy but slow and that Gone Berserk was fun . My friend asks for help with his mission (Mordu headhunters). Happy to see the new missions I pack my Moa with great kinetic shields and stock up on ammo and head over to him... He warps in and I follow . While in warp i recieve his last meaningfull message... "Getting outa here!" I warp in, he's pinned down. I see a buttload of rats, 11 of them . Before I even get a chanse to turn my lazy Moa around I'm webbed or whatever it was. Manage to get one Cheeta out of the way and then my ship beggins to glow and I lose the remaining 50% cap in a sec. Shields gone, armour going....Pod heading back to base...
Now I don't want to complain about loosing my Moa, acctually. I really can't afford to lose that many ships but this was so worth it. Not because of loot but because now there are real missions again!
However, would it not have been a bit wiser to make these mission unavailable to lvl3 agents and just avtivated the lvl4 ones? Can it be that hard?
O and as if that wasn't the making for a bad evening of EVE I also moved a bookmark while in space...the last of 6 locations of a new Important mission.
Don't want my ship back, my own fault. Great to see new missions! Too bad I didn't take the time to read the patch notes or whatever but when you use 56K modem that is really not what you want to do, you just wanna get out there and fly.

I did that mission today in my Scorpion.
The Bounty Hunters MWD in from 60 km in about 2-3 seconds, and cruise missiles, drones and cruiser sized beams dealt with them.
I found it was pretty easy, other than the 4 cruiser spawn right after the 12-13 ship initial spawn (4+ Osprey, 4+ Merlin, 2 Interceptors and a Moa) which was 2 Caracals and 2 Ospreys

I used my Moa first and got wtfpwned. I got all the same cruisers and frigs as the dominix guys I think. After that I took my Caracal fitted a mwd 5 heavylaunchers and the rest cap modules to keep my mwd run forever. That was the only way I could make it :) All missions are harder btw. One of the easier missions I usaly get from my agent suddenly spawned 5 cruisers ( terrorists) instead of 1 and 2 frigs or so.
Its alot of fun not to mention all the fine loot. I got 3 arbalest standard launchers from 1 mission yesterday _____________________________________________

well i managed this mission in my geddon - the rat list was pretty much as already posted by obscuroditus. It was a real challenge and i thought i might loose my ship ( was down to about 20% armour at the peak of battle), but IMHO a mission that you might actually loose at is exactly what i have been waiting for. Where is the fun in a game that you win at every time. I must add though that i am glad that this is just about as hard as the missions are at the moment. I will make sure to get some allies to help me with the first lvl 4 kill missions i try .

Just to add more info to the thread. I did the exact same mission as obscuroditus in my carcal and the sheilds never dropped below 20-30%.
So it would seem that the missions do alter according to the ship you accept them in.
So if you accept the mission in a "new" battle ship that you dont realy have the skills to do combat missions in, then you might loose it.

I went back to my caracal yesterday after loosing my Moa. Do anyone know if the missile bonus work now? I stayed at 40 km to make sure I hit. If the bonus work I will stay at 60 km :) _____________________________________________

Maybe the missions slightly bugged. I warped in in a caracal, at 60k, was webbed, abused and in a pod 20 seconds later :) Didn't even get a chance to lock on to them.
Its is strange because I spent the entire day today killing 110k, 100k, 75k rats in packs in the same ship with the same setup.
I'm just going to let it expire I think.

Edited by: Mat'Kurba on 01/09/2004 10:54:07 Done this fun mission today... warp in at 15km not really knowing which mission it is... started shield booster and let out 12 heavy drones (using Dominix) Shield was gone in about 20 sec then i started armor tanking... the first wave got me to 20% armor but i called back the drones before killing the last first wave rat and waited to get my armor to full and my shield up high and cap up again and then finished off the last first wave rat... the scond wave got me to 10% armor and then the last wave was really easy (only two)...
A nice interesting mission ... its doable and its fun...
To complete the mission, the following must be performed by you: five Mordus Katanas, three Mordus Bobcats, one Mordus Cheetah and two Mordus Bounty Hunters must be destroyed in Aset two Mordus Cheetahs and two Mordus Pumas must be destroyed in Aset one Mordus Lion and one Mordus Leopard must be destroyed in Aset
p.s. didnt fire even one gun off :) let the drones do it :)

This mission I have to say took me by suprise yesterday, but if I had short range weaps fitted it probably would not have been a prob.
Was funny as hell, wound up having to tank the rats whilst a couple of folks in local came out and killed the rats ;)
