Thx for reminding me, cloaking IV ready

Favorite HAC: Zealot, followed by Vagabond, everything else faaar behind. Why: The zealot is a huge mobile turret and the vagabond is an interceptor with like 4x the DPS and way more tank. Favorite Recon: Curse, I guess. I'm not much for recons in general. __________________________________

I like the Muninn, although honestly, more in theory than application. <_< ---

Edited by: Rexthor Hammerfists on 02/05/2009 10:25:56 For me the minmatar t2 ships are the most fun ones.
The avagabond is a big ceptor and good at what it does, the munnin is a very good snipe hac which is whats needed alot in 0.0 these days. The rapier is a very useful recon and also good fun to use as is the scimitar. The sleipnir is imo the better of the commandships and the claymore and its skirmish links are the also a very good addition to any fleet.

Curse for Recon for the pure psychological effect. Small gangs seem less inclined to engage you if you have a Curse or two...
HAC... don't really like the damage out of a Vaga - regardless of what EFT says. Muninn i've never bought. Sac is kinda nice and Zealot is a lovely mid-range gank boat but i'm currently training for an Ishtar because they reek of awesome.
Off topic slightly but Sleipnir is the best command ship for solo work imo.

All ships have their uses...all T2 cruisers are usable, some of them are great, some are very specialized, other are very versatile.
The best HACs atm are Amarr and Minie afaik.
* Zealot is nice, but compared to a Vaga it's one-dimensional. It needs range to shine above other cruiser sized dmg dealers, and that implies someone else tackling for you, fending off small stuff that can out-track your guns. Zealots fit nice in larger gangs, while vagabonds are all-around. Zealots might come on-top KMs more often, but other ships do the dirty work most of the times, just like with artie Muninns, artie canes and all other non-tacklin high-volley long range KM ***ging FOTMs...
* The Amarr Recons are fun, the Curse for gangs is very handy, tho the Gallente ones are way better tacklers, and the jamming Caldari ones can turn the tide way easier than double the number of curses would. That could be an slight overstatement since Falcons lost a lot of their range, yet those are still very effective, despite FOTM geeks wonna whine otherwise.
* Logistics: for 2-3 Logistic combos, guardians rock, Basilisks are very good - but most RR heavy gangs are armor tanked. The Oneiros is okz and the Scimitar is also VERY good but better suited for smaller roams than RR BS gangs.
* CSs: for battle purposes (field commands) Amarr and Minmatar win IMHO...for bonus puproses...hell, ppl fly fleet command ships with proper usage of their ganglinks so rarely, that it's not worth mentioning!
* HICs: are all reasonably good. The Amarr can do more EHP to stand multiple DDs, the Onyx + Broad have nice passive regen, the gallente can solo with good DPS (tho really close ranged)...all are usable. Join the Biggest Greek Corp! www.Mythos-eve.com - Join Mythos Channel in game! |

Edited by: Esmenet on 02/05/2009 11:51:24 Hac: Zealot - its just an amazing gang ship. Recons: I got recon 5 but not really using it atm. I'd go with curse or rook if forced to use a recon. Most recons are only useful in very specific situations these days.
And yea this is my sig. Real PVP'ers only use f1. |

Scimitar. Its like an assault frigate with the tank of a HAC/CS, which makes it very hard to kill. Oh, and it shield reps stuff too.

"Favorite" will not always connote best performing:
HAC- for looks the Munnin, utility the Ishtar (best? everyone seems to like the Zealot, I just don't like ships that have no drones) RECON- for looks the Huginn, for Utility the Curse (best? still would be the Caldari recons, ecm is just so much more devastating to a target and you can do it to multiple targets at once, whereas the other recons pretty much have to focus all their ew on one target).

While not very popular, I am a missile junkie. I like flying the Cerb and the Sac. They are designed to function on two opposite ends of the spectrum, both of wich I enjoy. Neither are winning awards for Uber Ship of the Year, but meh.. I like how the Sac is all shiny and distracting when pointing your opponent. They are like.."I realize that we are in bit of a pickle, but Look how Shiny that thing is!!" Well.. at least that's the dialogue I suppose that's running through their heads. The Cerb is fun if you have enough people around to do the dirty work. Maybe a bit of a one-trick pony, but still fun.
