I downloaded the trial account, and played it for 10 days before realising that this game is one that I'd like to investigate further. So, off I trundled to the homepage, and stumped up my 20 euros to upgrade to a proper account and have my first 30 days of non-trial Eve. All good thus far.
I'm in the UK, and due to the current economic climate, the sterling to euro exchange rate is a bit rubbish; so I was delighted to see that Play.com were offering the special edition boxed set (with it's 60 day GTC) for ú15. For slightly less than one month's suscription, I could get two months play! Hurrah.
Not only that, but I could also get the other goodies that come with the box. Instant war, the career guide and best of all, a limited edition ship. Yay! (I'm a sucker for collecting stuff in MMOs - sad, but true). But I am now informed that I can't have any of these extras on my current account; only if I start a new account. Cue my best sad face.
So... does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might be able to get a shuttle from the boxed game to my upgraded trial account - preferably with a minimum loss of main account playing time?
TIA

think you have to create the new account than you can transfer the shuttle to your existing account. Cancel the new account after your free game time expires.
LOL not quite the savings you thought you were getting. Also, you might be one of the ones that survive their initial EVE experience :) In which case you'll probably keep the second account anyway and end up paying twice as much as you first intended.
You wouldn't be the first.

You can't. You either add 60 days to your existing account and don't get the "goodies", or you create a new account with that 60-day code and get the "goodies". The "goodies" however are nothing spectacular.
The shuttle is just a regular shuttle, with slightly bigger cargo (20 m^3 instead of 10 m^3, even the lousiest frigate has 130 m^3). And the "faction war certificate" is nothing special either, you can get the needed +0.5 faction standings in a couple of days (or at worst weeks) if you run missions actively.

At the moment, it is cheaper to keep buying EVE box sets from play.com for 14.99, and use the time codes on your account, this will give you two months play time cheaper tha paying in Euros.

I don't know where you're looking but as of this moment it's 24.99 from play, and out of stock at that.

They were 14.99 for a while but shot to number 1 for sales so they put the price back up. Give it a while at the un-economical price and they will get cheaper again. ----

Shame some people have yet to connect them.
