Hi all, Ive been playing for a few days, ive done some tutorials, been asking questions in rookie channel...getting the basic hang of things.
Now Im faced...what do I want to do. I want to do a little bit of mining, but it would be nice to have a nice powerful ship as well.
For mining, what skills should I train(in what order)...and what attributes would I focus on? For PVP, what skills should I train, and in what order..also what attributes would I focus on?
Still kind of lost with all the skills and attributes...so any one that can clear all of that up would be helpful...
thanks

-for mining you need intelligence/memory -for PVP you need perception/willpower
in conclusion, stick to the 8/8/8/8/7 and dont remap YET train your learning skills to level 4 and buy the advanced ones and train them to lvl3 (if you have the isk). Ignore charisma.
For mining skills:
- train for Retriever (check prerequisites). - once you done it, you will use 2x Strip Miner I on it. - train for Survey Scanner II, Expanded Cargohold II, Mining Laser Upgrade I, and the hauler ship you like the most (industrial ships) for example Iteron III, Badger II, Mammoth..

If you go into the market tab on the left hand side of the screen you can look up the skills. There is a skills tab that you can make expand and then there is a learning skills tab. Just buy the first tr learning that will be a green book which means that you can use it.

You should pick up a nice little tool called evemon.
You have to create an API key for your character, which you start from here. Then put the api key number into evemon and it then can know all your attributes and skills and such.
Then create a new skill plan. When that opens up, go to the ship browser tab and find the hulk under the mining barges. In the bottom right corner will be the prereqs, with the option to add to the skill plan. Do that.
Now go to the skill plan tab. It will show all the skills you need. At the bottom should be the word "suggestions" in blue. Hit that.
That will tell you what learning skills will decrease the time for the skill plan.

And don't get shell-shocked at how much time it will take. Fact is, the time flies by!! Best of luck!!
