I've been thinking more about market cycles and looking more at the price graph and I was wondering about the effects of various cycles.
For example. During the summer are there more or less players online? (more because many middle/high schoolers are not in school, or less because more college students are back home, or working or not around their computers as much). The same for winter break or other tradition vacation times.
Also what effect does more or less players have. Does more players mean more modules/minerals/etc on the market because more people are 'producing' goods or less because more goods are being consumed.
What about weekly cycles, obviously prices vary during the week as more players are online on the weekends but I'm trying to get a general grasp on how that effects the market.
Any thoughts, observations?

Secondary market is normally very very quiet during summer. The fall and winter months (US and Europe) are when things usually get busy around here.
We see this in EBANK as well...the Bank downshifts to lower activity during spring/summer and becomes much more busy during fall/winter.

Right now I'm working on describing the business-cycle involved with the 4-6 month delay between expansions.
The essence is that there's inflation in the market just before and shortly after an expansion. After a period of time, we will see deflation before we reach a stable equilibrium. That's right until next expansion comes around.

I've always thought the market would get busy during the summer when school's out. With more players online, there'd be more secondary market activities (more bonds/ipo).
When school comes back on, people stick their isk into banks/bonds/ipo to ensure that their isk is not sitting around doing nothing.
Either way, one thing I've noticed is that my turnover is faster during the summer than it is in the winter season.

Maybe, but it may work differently in northern countries.I bet that people who live in northern counties (Scandinavia, Canada and the Northern US) would want to enjoy their brief summer outside.

Isn't the answer in the market graph? take a look at raven sales for the last year for example.
