My corp has noticed that the patch fix that stopped directors getting pos-fuel spam-mail also appears to mean that ONLY directors are getting fuel warning messages.
The other members of my corp who need to get that information are no longer receiving it.
This is a major problem for my corp and I can imagine a far bigger issue for larger corps than us.
Please look into this soon!!

I haven't been able to play once since the patch becasue that was screwed up too, hence the reinstalls of the client.
This is nuts. I know patches can be tricky but this garbage has been going on for me since the the patcher / installer was introduced with Apochrypha.

Error Code: 29 Error Code 29 Code 29
Above included for those searching. I was getting this error code until I realized I had 99.1MB free on the drive I have Eve installed to.
If you are getting this error, it is due to LACK OF DISK space and easy to correct. If you have a bazillion GB free and are still getting this error, the patcher thinks you have no free space, so check into that!!
Patch just finished successfully, game has started and I am logging in....

Following this crc errors yet again when I actually do get the download to work.
Hopefully I'll eventually get enough downloads that a can piecemeal the install together like I had to last time.....
Purlease, get rid of BITS. Please.
I can not even patch on my XP machine. Constantly getting CRC errors... so many that I thought there was something wrong with the machines HDD. Reloaded entire machine and still get same error.

Prior to the game crashing windows offers a warning with several flashes of the screen.

Edited by: Tamahra on 17/05/2009 08:48:19 first off, i want to express my condolences to those who cant even play. Then i want to point out two minor issues, which occured for me since apocrypha 1.2:
Massive lag, where missile launchers sometimes only fire every 2nd circle, and drones being so laggy that they almost do not do any noteable damage to npc ships anymore!
Then 2nd, the drone recovery bug is back, where drones stop a few kilometres in front of your ship after you have ordered them back to return to the drone bay and then they abandon themselves and you have to collect them manually.
This sucks major ass, along with the sound mess that was introduced with 1.2.

Someone posted the link to the full 88737 client - another FAIL for me. After 3 hours of downloading its - CRC errors once again
I'm not sure what the problem here is - I don't think its with my machine as with the installer itself or the way it interacts with windows.
I was able to download and install the older client file on another PC on the same network - it unpacked and installed without any problems.
I even ran the 7zip test on the downloaded file - and it came back clean. So I plug in my portable HDD and transfer the file to my main PC - and the "working" file suddenly gives me CRC errors on unpack.
I've even done a clean install of windows on my main PC thinking that some sort of software conflict might be causing the problem - but its a no go.
If anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear them. Otherwise I will be cancelling my subscription next week.

Originally by: RyMcQeN I Edited by: RyMcQeN I on 15/05/2009 17:50:43 A few issues to note since the patch deployment...
1) With respect to cov ops/black ops, getting a message that goes a little something like this...
"You fail to cloak because cloak is already cloak."
This occured to a few of us. And no... we weren't already cloaked.
2) I personally had an incident where I'm in warp, click the scan button then my mouse locks up (not sure if it was eve related). Was forced to ctrl-alt-delete EVE and when I got it to come back up, all of my overview settings, preferences etc. were toast.
3) Myself and other wingmen experienced targets not showing up on overview and in some cases not appearing in space at all. Some of us would be able to see the target and some of us wouldn't. No changes to our overview settings had been made. One pilot stated that he couldn't see the hostile until the ship had blown up and the pod was ejected.
4) One wingman attempted to decloak at a gate and recieved the "cloak is already cloak" message and when he finally attempted to warp to another gate, instead of warping his ship decloaked.
5) Some evidence of ships just disappearing when they are warping out (instead of seeing them actually fly out of grid) occured as well.
Its hard to pinpoint issues after this patch because there were so many, and they were so random.
I think a role back is the best solution to this.

It would be nice to have a CCP rep address this issue - as it seems to be affecting a fair few people.
At the least a pinned thread would seem warranted - at least an acknowledgement would be nice.

I'm getting the same thing. downloaded perfectly fine install from my laptop running same os (xp media center). try to install it on desktop with xp media center and i get crc error or checksum error. I can't play on my laptop because if gets a white screen if i am in game for more than a couple of minutes (started after apocrypha). I am at a loss. i have wiped my hard drive and tried downloading and installing on fresh xp installs 3 times. i have no virus scan, windows fire wall off, router fire wall set as low as i can for security and explorers security setting set as low as they can. It will not work and it used to on this exact machine! there is no cache to clear becuase i never get far enough to have any with install. ccp just cut and pasts the same crap and sends it to me as a response to my petition. I am really getting fed up. none of the three ways to download the client will work. i'm almost ready to cancel my accounts.

If CCP doesn't learn how to test patches/updates before they publish them to the live server, I'm gonna CANCEL my account and wait for another game to come around. This upsets me greatly, the installer won't install after I tried to update to this crappy crappy 1.2 . I tried uninstalling and installing over and over and OVER AND OVER again. I either get checksum errors, or misconfiguration errors. Good job CCP.
AND NO I AM NOT SUBMITTING A BUG, learn how to test before you "successfully deploy" an update!
Yeah you're right, Apocrypha 1.2 has been deployed but OBVIOUSLY NOT TESTED!

well its wierd guys. i am going share all info of what i did and hope something helps you guys. my system is a home build computer with intel q6700 quad, 4 gigs ddr2, sparkle gforce 9600 with, asus p5n-d mother board. (i'm not going to list optical drives, sound or network). I installed windows media center edition 20005 on my c drive which is seagate sata drive. interned explorer was set to lowest privacy and security levels, verizon fios router (connected to pc via lan) turned router to "minimum security (low)". i used getright evaluation version and downloaded "EVE_Premium_Setup_88737_m.exe" which was 2,253,795,328 bytes, from the link in my post above. I sacrificed 4 chickens, a goat, and a mimitar slave girl. let me know if there is any more information you need shich you think COULD be relevant.

First of all, sorry if this has already been raised, but i didn't have time to check.
Where has the option to "Return and orbit" gone from the menu of options when you right click on a fighter or group of fighters that have been allocated to you by a gang mate. This can leave fighters floating in space, maybe at a gate where they chased a ship before it left system. I cannot find a mention of this in the patch notes so I suspect it is yet another unintentional "change".
Any chance of getting this option back please?

The corrupt install problem is some sort of multitasking bug with the installer.
The workaround is to force the installer to use just one processor core.

Edited by: Zylexm on 18/05/2009 12:57:42 Edited by: Zylexm on 18/05/2009 12:55:33 okay so... i come back to eve and find a new patch out, great :D awesome xD cant wait to install it...
i run the patcher, wait for it to do its business... successful. woot!
i load up eve... and wait while it checks the server status... but it just comes up as "UNKNOWN" i tried everything to get online. restarted everything, reinstalled everything. but nothing... constantly UNKNOWN!
so i run along to http://eve-offline.net/ to check the server status (since i cant see it on the client) and it says "Tranquility; ok (0 players)" ... <.< well that doesnt look good. the server is up and running yet theres 0 players? o.O
i dont think so... please dont tell me i have to wait another day for this 1.2.2 patch before i can log on. -.-
EDIT: some addition info on the server status from the above link

Exactly the same problem on the Windows box (Vista 64). Mac on same network is fine.
Connection Failed
Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong.
See a number of people have this problem, can't see a solution :(.
