Hello folks,
What i would like to see on a trader's forum is not WTB, WTS, auction etc. I'd like to see an overview of the prices of different goods in various regions of Eve. This way u can see which goods will make what profit. Thats imho what should be added to a good trade forum. Like to hear your reactions on this.

The problems with this are that if someone posts the info, everyone will leech onto it and kill its profitability. (As you know everyone in eve is known for their market restraint). These things are kept secret for a reason. Especially with the ability to AFK indy travel now in empire, its too easy to do. And now that parts are required for Tech 2 construction it has dramatically skewed the pricing and availablity of many items. (Super conductors, miniature electronics, electronic parts, etc.)
Long long long long time ago, I did do some compilation for my own edification on all the goods with thier market stats for min cost, max sale price to determine profitability of various runs. The prices were accumulated from many regions, but would change from time to time.
http://www.crimsonautograph.com/eve/trade/ (The data here is close to a year old)
People used to make billions of ISK off the robotics trade because it was so predicatble. Stations would cycle thier supplies every 14 days, so you could do one route each day for 2 weeks, each one pulling in hundreds of millions. You buy out the station and put in the next buy order for the next refresh cycle. Lather, rinse, repeat. No idea what its like now.

Thx for the reply. Its true indeed that prices dont differ that much anymore between regions. Makes profit on goods not worth the effort. Too bad trading as well as researching is turning into a bit of a joke in Eve. But besides that its still an awsome game.

Edited by: Medjai on 06/09/2004 08:09:48 I was thinking the same thing. I rat hunt the majority of the time when I get off work for an hour or two. I get so many good items, but I can't find an average price on any of it. This goes for most named items of course, but I dont want to put it on Escrow overpriced. But for profit purposes I don't want to undersell that much. Any tips or ideas?

I will give one hint, and that is that there is currently a link between research and trade.
Don't ask for any more, I've already given away too much! ========================================= * I'm ALLOWED to cheat. I'm a STARSHIP. * ========================================= |

I have found trading in eve to quite profitable and have trade routes that make 8 million in a hour or two with very little risk. All theo most regions have most items all regions don't have all items and their good profit to be made their.

Idiots....
The best way to become a billionair in eve is by trading, indeed not trading things in things like npc goods. But you can invest smart in minerals, buy cheap escrows selling them more expensive. Do the same for modules, trade real estate etc. etc.
That being said alot of decent trade deals do require you to have a few hundred million isk to make a good profit. But saying trading is dead because you can't do npc tradegood runs is just plain wrong. Heck I prefer the current trade system more TBH this actually requires skill, contacts, money time, intelligence knowing the regions etc. etc. unlike just looking at some table and think hmmmm, today im gonna do this and that trade run. -------- -The only real drug problem is scoring real good drugs
