I was mining in High Sec, a 0.5 system, while I am aware that it is easy to suicide gank a retriever, it isn't done with a Catalyst armed with Light Ion Cannons usually, not against a tanked Retriever anyway. And not by a three day old player.... So what is he talking about? I saw nothing in the patch notes about Retrievers being fair game in High Sec.

If he did not get slaughtered by CONCORD he was using an exploit. Petition and you should get your ship back and he'll earn a himself a ban if I am not mistaken. You are not allowed to exploit nor are you allowed to escape the wrath of CONCORD. Odd logic, but that is EVE. ------------------------------------ I'm the damsel in distress. Save me good Sir!

We have killed easily over 100 hulks in high sec space sometimes as high as 0.8 with just destroyers. Granted not 1 but still dont need very many people to do it. You need to understand high security space is not total security you still are at risk and thats why we kill hulks in high sec - to remind you all of that (and because someone has to stand up for the poor little roids you horrible people are killing) Edit I cannnt speeell

CONCORD will show up... just not as quickly as you'd expect them to show up. I don't remember the timing but its slower than 1.0 thats for sure. Even then tho... You'd be lucky to get more than 3-4k EHP out of a Retriever, you can't really tank it if you want to be efficient with it. Put that together and you got a dead Retriever, followed by a dead (and insured) Catalyst shortly after in high-sec. Don't see the point though, an insured Retriever doesn't cost a lot to replace, and personally I'd rather go out in low-sec and kill whatever's in the belts if I'm in a Glass Cannon mood (corp has found Hulks there and no CONCORD ). Atleast in low-sec you get to keep your ship if ganked the target successfully (provided you keep moving). Rigging a Retriever? The only Mining Barge I ever rigged was my old Covetor, and those were shield resist rigs (2xEM and 1xTherm) against Sansha/Blood Raider so I didnt need to fit a rep in the lows. ------------------------ Low-sec is like sailing along the coast of Somalia...
