Alright, it's not a huge issue, but it also shouldn't be a huge fix, so I was somewhat surprised to see that the 1.2 patch didn't address this. I expect every prober has seen it since 1.1, when you get a split signature (two half-strength sigs with individual points) one point is in its proper position, and the other is overlapping the first, rather than being elsewhere as it should be. Please tell me this is at least a known issue and being worked on? ________________

Edited by: Nareg Maxence on 17/05/2009 10:27:40 Perhaps people thought it was such an obvious bug that noone bugreported it. :D
Edit: P.s. I can confirm this bug, of course.

They know that, Sleep. When you use three probes, you should see two hits for one site in the two possible locations that three probes give you. Only those two hits are in the same place now.

This is one of several bugs (see also, broken filters) that was so obvious, everyone who probes found it within minutes after the release of Apocrypha 1.1. It's rather a mystery how bugs this obvious don't get picked up in internal testing.
The fact that they don't get fixed (or even acknowledged) a full patch cycle later? Mystery doesn't even begin to cover it. ------------------ Ironfleet.com |
