Not sure if every knows about this so I thought I'd post it on the New Citizen forum. Just log into your accounts page and select the gift you want. The next time you log in to your character there will be a "Redeem Gift" icon. Some of the items they offer are pretty good for new players out there. Its been a few days since I did this so I might be missing a step or two. |

Hah, I chose a Vherokior because they remined me of the Fremen.
I took the implants, since I had forgotten about using implants and they were free. Implants seem to be pretty expensive, moreso than the ships I can fly. |

I'm missing something here. Do we have to go somewhere in game to get these? Can you link any relevant articles? |

The devblog about this: http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=28620
If you just want to sell them for ISK, "Refine Your Skills" is safe bet. It has two +4 implants which can be sold for about 17 million ISK each (plus some skillbooks which are much less valuable.)

After that relog into EVE and you will see gift box at character selection screen. Use that, or go into game and then go to ESC-screen and use "Redeem items" button at bottom.

Sadly, I'm not even sure what the various selections are. I think they're ships, skill books, and implants, but I'm not sure how useful any of them are.

FYI, if you have a trial account and haven't subbed it, I believe you can get the gifts if you sub before the 4th. I had a buddy invitee who used hours for PLEX 2 weeks after the trial expiration and then had access to the gifts after subscribing with PLEX. "- You want a sandwich, Bacon?" Having played for a little over a month I will recommend against the level 2 implant package. It only took me a couple of weeks before I started accumulating +2 implants from level 2 missions. I believe that I read that this will be the default package given to those who did not select a package by the end of the gift period, so I wouldn't be surprised if the market value will further decrease on +2s making them also an easy purchase for those who don't run missions. I believe that the two +4 (mem/int) implants have a higher value even without the pile of skill books included in that package. Maybe someone with more experience might have a better insight, but +2s seem easy to acquire. |

Basic implants (+3) go for 10mil a piece in Amarr and only require Cybernetics 1, so yeah, the +2s aren't that appealing. "- You want a sandwich, Bacon?" Support horizontal scrollbars in Eve! Click here, tyvm. |
