Edited by: Alexander Bor on 23/05/2009 07:47:43 Someone may say that EVE is mostly game of battles and PVP. But there's players who choose rather a civilian life in EVE. I know many manufacturers, miners and scientists in EVE. And many of us think that DEVs don't attend to this side of EVE.
Here is some points we want: -extending asteroids in high sec; -partial access to POS for every player in corporation (maybe using a password or smth else); -more diversity to manufacturing proces; -more ships for civilian players (freighters, miners, industrial ships etc); -more items and modules for mining; -ability to harvesting moons in high sec...
If this topic touch you, please post here. Add your own points in list above. DEVs can notice us only if everyone sign here. |

Have to disagree with two things at lest. Moon Mining in High Sec - NO! There are no cap ships to kill the pos. More Belts/Asteroids - not only put in more, let the players find the belts, belts respawn and must be found via scanning.

Edited by: Doddy on 23/05/2009 07:59:17 You appear to be wanting to boost hi sec (lol) rather than caring about sci + industry. More than enough belts already and if you had moon mining you would need cap ships etc too and everything goes to hell. More industrial ships/mods (not necessarily mining but hacking/archaeology/salvaging ships) would be cool.
Diverse manufacturing process would be nice, still waiting for player - named mods tbh.
Pos access is tough, makes it too easy for a spy to fill your slots or end jobs etc. If you are going to use a password why not just give those people roles?
Planetry interaction with a whole industry/economic side to it as well as combat would be the long term goal i want to see for sci + industry in eve.

Agree. Personaly, i would like to see more available slots for invention and ME research. The problem is.. while the number of player grows, the number of slots remain the same.
Also, i think that most bpo are overpriced and scanning system is in dire need of UI bug fixing.

Edited by: Sep''Shoni on 23/05/2009 20:34:01 I'm too new to have a realistic idea of what specific mechanics might work, but I'd love to see mining made more interactive and interesting (scanning down belts -- belts that might even have null-sec ores in them on a particularly lucky strike on a particularly lucky day -- might be a start).
Having some sort of ship to hope for after a hulk would be nice. REAL mining ships -- the Orca and Rorqual are haulers' ships, not miners' ships.
Mining agents giving mining missions that are done in mining ships AND that are worth at least as much as mining veldspar for the same amount of time would be nice. I mission for standing so that I can refine and manufacture more efficiently and as a change of pace after staring at my lasers for hours but I routinely reject those Augmene missions where I lose money while risking my retriever against mission rats that a destroyer can kill in one shot.
And, of course, the overpriced veld, underpriced low-sec minerals issue affects me. Anyone can mine veld. It would be fun to have a viable means of making a living as a specialist in targeting rarer, more difficult ores via a combination of skill training and specialized ships. But under current conditions of the unbalanced minerals refined from mission loot and the fact that taking a mining/industrial ship into low-sec is like throwing a cow into a river full of starving piranhas it seems unlikely.

I agree with that

i may be wrong but more than half of eve is industry based(mining, hauling, building, selling etc) so why is it industrialists are the least catered for. afterall this game cannot survive without industrialists.
1 thing i would definately like to see is having grav sites undetectable by current probing system. instead they should have an industry probing system. that way if pvp,rs want to find them they have to learn a seperate set of skills rather than being able to find them as a bonus to there combat site scanning. its far too easy to find, kill, steal etc from industrialist trying to make an honest buck
and all industry sdpecific tech should have industry specific skills.

That strikes me as an excellent idea.
It would be part of making mining more interactive -- special belts that take special training to discover and that hold something worth the training and effort. Something worth more than you'd get from spending the same time mining veld.
