I keep falling into the 'I need that!' trap and as a result, I think my character is all over the place. Any advice about what I should do with him is appreciated.

If you have 600mil and will be palying for a while i would suggest getting Cybernetics V and plugging in +5s.
Or get +4s if you dont want to spend that much or train the really long level V skill. Otherwise youmay also want to get 4/4 in all your learning skills or 5/4 if you are playing for longer and dont forsee quitting in a while.
For gallente or any particular race ships i would advise Drone interfacing V, since it effectively doubles your drone output.
i would also get your gunnery support skills up since they effect every races turrets and will be trained anyway.

Need some core gunnery skills in there. Surgical Strike, Advanced Weapon Upgrades, etc.

eve mon is always very helpful... I've done several different plans up for various ships and after finishing up a 30 day training plan, I'm kind of just uping skills without a specific goal at this time. But some of the skills I am working on are used in 2 or more of my skill plans for different ships/jobs. It makes it a lil better when I finally decide which path to take.

As a Gallente seeing only drone interfacing I is quite scary.
I'd get that to level 4 before anything else, get some surgical strike as well since you have plenty of T2 gunnery skills. Then get into the learning skills a bit while you decide what to do.

Thanks a lot for the advice folks...I really appreciate it. I'll probably start getting those Drone skills up there and then move onto Surgical Strike and the other gunnery support skills. Again, I appreciate the feedback.
