Patching to the test server has been broken for months and the last mirror was in February. What's the deal CCP? Why even bother having two test servers if they are totally useless. I thought these things were supposed to get mirrored once a month and actually maintained.

i guess i'll be the one to tell you.
you can patch your sisi client yourself much more efficiently than ccp does for you
i know i know its pitiful that that is the case but ccp's no blizzard in terms of staff size i guess.
http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/server_status.php
takes some trial and error sometimes to figure out which one of the patches your sisi folder needs to update but you'll get the hang of it. see you on sisi soon hopefully!

you can't patch it yourself when all the correct manual patches give error saying files don't match or some bull like that

The current SiSi environment was deployed last Friday and is a mirror taken from TQ between 08-05-2009 / 10-05-2009.
I have to agree that the mismatch (in code ??) between TQ build 88974 and SiSi 88974 made it for a lot of players difficult/impossible to patch their TQ client to SiSi. And I understand that downloading the full SiSi client (2.3GB) isn't for everybody an option.
Like Zarak1 stated, there are ways to get/maintain a working client with some trail & error, keeping up to date with certain sites and asking others for advise/assistance.
I always keep a 'previous release' copy of SiSi besides my current TQ and current SiSi client. I know this takes up another 4-5GB, but it enabled me more than once to 'roll-back' a 'challenged' SiSi patch :)
I always check the EVE û Server Status and Server Versions sites, for new releases.
I only download the manual patches http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/test/evepremiumpatch<previous_release>-<current_release>_test_m.exe
I hope this is of any use to you.

Guys, don't forget that the Test-server is not just for you to test your ships. Its also... actualy mostly for CCP to test their Patches/Addons/Fixes and so on. |

Yes, I know that...
Since the last patches have been bloody awful, I was going to see if I could find any problems on SiSi....
