It's part of the whole system.

No. Mining, trading, manufacturing are PvP activities. Missions largely lack a PvP element, granted, but that's why you see so many clamoring for changes to them.

Eve's a rich tapestry. Everyone has their place whether it be in high sec, low sec or 0.0. Given that, most of the current gripes seem to be around moving miners and level 4 missioners to low sec where the pirates can shoot them like fish in barrel. Manipulate the value of veldspar or move level 4s into low sec and you'll just have less people doing those things and in the end not playing the game. CCP know this and despite the idea that Eve is supposed to dangerous, I doubt they want to alienate a large proportion of their player base.
I'm not sure what OP's real point is though. Mining in low sec is a gang activity, and if you want to load up on Zydrine, you've got to accept the risks and if you want to mine solo, you have to stay in high sec - the risk vs rewards don't add up otherwise. Tank your Hulk properly and most ganking is eliminated in high sec anyway.

Sry ?
So... while you mine, you kill with a hulk a gang ? While you trade or manufacture your kiling pirates with bpo's ?
Come on......

Now, you do realise that, unless ships blow up at an alarming rate, you won't have anyone to sell your minerals to, right?
People being able to evade fights = no-one (or simply too few) gets killed = game ceases to function. Solution: make sure people die horribly and often.

PvP = Player vs. Player. Mining = competing with other players for ze ore. Trading = competing with other players for ze ISK. Manufacturing = competing with other players for ze slots and for the best margins (also, see trading above).

It's only 100% risk if you do it wrong, in which case you've earned your death.

I must say, I'm not entirely familiar with this particular colloquialism, although I get the gist of it.
It doesn't matter however — what I said is true, and no amount of crying from you will change that fact. You're essentially complaining that there is no iddqd in a deathmatch, which would be silly since it would remove the whole point of both the "death" and the "match". Accept it now, accept it later, or leave while still ignorant — those are your alternatives. |

why ... i really want to know why it is so unconvinient for a pirat/pvp when a miner/trader/mission runner has the possibility to defend or to run away? |

I followed several discussions about the fact that miners/traders/mission runners think about, that the gankers and griefers where cuddled by CCP. My thoughts about this is ... definitly EVE has become a dumping ground for gankers and griefers which where cast away and banned from other online games because of there habbits.
The Fraktion of 90 years old gankers with parkinson desease has problems to target a transport ship ... CCP is happy to rise the align time and lower the speed of the ship.
A T2 HAC pilot is threatend by a hulk he tries to kill ... no problem we reduce the traget range and rise the penalty of warp core stabelizers over 150%
About 90% of the players dont want to leave the High sec anymore because of crazy-shooter-gangs who destroye everthing that come in there way.
I play eve for a long time now (this is not my first character and account) and over the time the pvp-faction where cuddled and had get blowed sugar into there a..es. The warp scambler need to much CPU so you cant fit another one ... no problem ... we rise the value of the scrambler to +3 AND lower the CPU usage. You are to stupid to scramble a hulk ... thats no problem we change the design of the hulk so that no warp core stab can be fitted.
So now I'm looking very interested about the comments of the pvp-faction who is clearly the most misunderstood and suffering faction within eve.
Um, EvE was created by gankers and griefers. Really.
the problem is ... that many players in eve are no gankers and griefers ... not anymore ... so the demand there right to be seen and to ajust the forces back to a healthy balance
Too bad. You knew the risks coming in. It's a FFA full loot PvP game, deal with it. there are plenty of heavily moderated games you can play, but only this one sandbox one. |

so you say basicly you are not willing to get more risk of miners/traders to run away from your trap ... so everyone has to change but not you ... interesting |
