I'm unable to get into the Sisi server.
I tried coping my current TQ fully patched game looking for a patch for that but nothing. Nothing automatic and also the Eve/downloads website link to patch TQ - Sisi, that link is dead. http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/test/evepremiumpatch89883-89877_test.exe
I also tried downloading the full client and wrong version.
Any ideas? --------------------------------------------------
Do it today, tomorrow it might be Illegal :D |

Edited by: Electric Universe on 29/05/2009 01:36:24 1st. Use this web page to see what version / patch Sisi is running on: http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/server_status.php
2nd. Sisi is running the 89883 patch atm. Also the same patch as TQ are running.

Edited by: William Clarque on 29/05/2009 04:20:01 I'm having trouble as well. My current Sisi client version is 89877. No auto patch appears, but I'm getting an "incompatible (release)" message. The Singularity patch page lists current version as 89877, so doesn't give me any way to patch.

OK Devs what is going on, I logged in earlier this afternoon UK time, and the client said 'Incompatible (release)' and a small update downloaded to bring it up to version 90412.
Logging in using that version gave the same incompatible (release) message, so I reverted back to the original TQ version and tried logging in again, this time I had 'Status: unknown' and a repeating 5 second countdown timer running non stop.
I've just tried again and this time the client download and installed the same patch as before to bring me back up to version 90412 but it still says Incompatible (release) when I try and log in.
So which version should I be running the TQ version, a later version, or this 90412?

Well I've found out one small thing, the patch we download says it patches from 89883 to 90412 but when you run the patch it claims the update is for version 90114 to 90412.
So either the patch is wrong or we need a second patch to get from 89883 to 90114 then the downloaded patch to get from 90114 to 90412.

I downloaded the full Sisi client again, patched it to 90412 and i still have the Incompatible (Release) problem, Should i download the patch manually? Should i try the TQ to Sisi patch? None of those worked with the last patch.

Edited by: William Clarque on 29/05/2009 20:46:43 I've patched to 90412 (Sisi client gives client version as such), but I'm still getting the "incompatible(release)" message. I tried recopying my Tranquility files and repatching manually, but still no dice. How have others fixed this?

Currently Singularity (SiSi) runs the same release (89883) as Tranquility (TQ)
So this is what you need to do to get access to SiSi
1) Copy your <EVE TQ Directory> to <EVE SiSi Directory> 2) Copy your "EVE TQ Shortcut" to "EVE SiSi Shortcut" 3) Change the properties of your "EVE SiSi Shortcut" to: <EVE SiSi Directory>\eve.exe /end /LUA:OFF /server:87.237.38.50
That should do it..!
To have the best chance on maintaining a working SiSi client, I follow these 3 rules.
1) I always keep a 'previous release' copy of SiSi besides my current TQ and current SiSi client. This enabled me more than once to 'roll-back' a 'challenged' SiSi patch :) 2) I always check the EVE û Server Status and Server Versions sites, for new releases. 3) I only download the manual patches http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/test/evepremiumpatch<previous_release>-<current_release>_test_m.exe
I hope this is of any use to you.

http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/test/evepremiumpatch89883-89877_test.exe is a dead link... now it patches you to 90412 from TQ to SiSi, did everything else up to that though. Maybe an alternative website for that patch?

Just copy your TQ Directory (assuming it is the current 6.12.89883 release) to your SiSi Directory and change the SiSi Shortcut properties to include /server:87.237.38.50
That's all .. no need to patch ..
You could allways (temporary) change your TQ shortcut properties to include /server:87.237.38.50 and execute it (do not! log in, just start the EVE client) .. you will see it will connect to SiSi without any problem.

First of .. I did not suggested you should patch your copied TQ (6.12.89883) client ..
Secondly, if you look closely to the "../test/evepremiumpatch89883-89877_test.exe" link, you might notice that the file suggests it is an "upgrade" from release 89883 to 89877, which is blatantly incorrect as filename of every patch shows an increment from an 'old' to a 'new' release (e.g. evepremiumpatch88947-88973_test.exe, evepremiumpatch89877-89883_test.exe, etc.)
To make sure I have been advising the correct steps, I just tested them with success using my 6.12.89883 TQ client, which was cleanly intalled on 25-03-2009 and upgraded ever since.

Where do you add this /server:87.237.38.50 to? When i add it to my "start" config file instead of "Tranquility" i get an error message saying the file was modified and maybe corrupt. And yes i saw that and change the order it was in, in the url. No diffrence. But ok lemme start over. I copied over my TQ directory to my Sisi directory (running the proper patch) I changed the Server in my EVEtest directory's "start" file and i get that error msg

Assuming you have a Windows system and have installed your EVE (TQ) client "Out-of-the-box", you should have an "EVE" shortcut on your desktop.- Copy this shortcut and rename it "SiSi" (this is optional),
- Then right-click it, select properties,
- in the 'Target' field you will notice something like "C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\eve.exe" or in my cause "D:\Games\CCP\TQ\eve.exe".
change this, so it is associated with the SiSi 'eve.exe'. Like "C:\Program Files\CCP\SiSi\eve.exe" or in my cause "D:\Games\CCP\SiSi\eve.exe", and add the parameter /server:87.237.38.50. Like "C:\Program Files\CCP\SiSi\eve.exe /server:87.237.38.50" or in my cause "D:\Games\CCP\SiSi\eve.exe /server:87.237.38.50" - Press the OK button to keep these changes.
This should do the trick.

You add the /server bit after the last ", add one space then the /server bit, if you put it inside the " then you will get your error.
And I am also running 90412.

Good than im not crazy, i tried that and it says invalid Target, please make sure the target path is correct. Thats what i did at first only it gave me that and i figured i was doing it wrong. And yes i run Windows XP. ""C:\Program Files\CCP\EVETEST\eve.exe /server:87.237.38.50" " is not a Valid Target. if thats what it should look like. So yeah no dice.

Make a little change... the \server bit should be after the "" so it should look like this in your case:
"C:\Program Files\CCP\EVETEST\eve.exe" /server:87.237.38.50
Hope that helps
