So i became i pirate knowing that i was going to go into negative sec status and knowing that this would mean that i wouldn't see high sec again. After now getting to -7 i'm wishing that i had never started this piracy joining and i would like to get back to buying my own stuff from jita without having my alt to do it.
What's the easiest way for me to go from -7 to being able to see 1.0 systems again? I tried the missions that make you +5 sec status however i needed to be atleast -2 sec status to do them.
Any advice would be great, thanks.

If you're having trouble accepting missions I believe it's your faction standing that's more of a problem than sec standing. However, to get sec standing back train up Fast Talk and start shooting NPC battleships. Jump to a new system after you kill each one so you accumulate standings faster (you only collect sec status from the largest NPC you kill every fifteen minutes if you stay in one system, but changing systems causes a session change and negates this time penalty.)

what he said, but remember pods are very addictive, hard to get that love of the squish out of your system.

Edited by: Kell Braugh on 30/05/2009 20:08:35 As you can see, this isn't the best forum for saying "Waaa... I dun wannna bee a piwate daddy"...
But to be serious for a slight moment, the key to sec increasing, OR how to suicide gank consistantly in high sec with the least amount of effort.
The main rule of sec increases from kill npc rats is: The highest sec increase, per 15 minute period, per system
So.. find a nice out of the way 0.0 constellation (that isn't drones btw). And jump into each system, kill a big juicy rat (biggest BS you can find usually) then move on to the next system. Rinse and repeat and rotate around the constellation. With this method, you have 4,5,6+ sec increases per 15 minutes vs 1.
Use you wallet journal to see which system has been 'paid' bounties. That system is ready for another sec increasing kill.
With this method, I went from -9. something to -1.5 over two days, maybe 8 hours worth of ratting.
Be sure that if you do any work for, akak run mission for, any pirate faction, you are not killing them, or their friends. For instance, if you mission run for guristas, go kill angel cartel.
p.s. I would asset that all well established pirates, and pirate corps, have alts that do all their shopping and usually have some type of empire >> low sec logistics program set up for the reason that it suck to have to rat up sec.
Also, the skill "fast Talk" will increase your sec increase and should be trained to level 3-4. It used to be bugged, but I can confirm it works as intended now.
edit: I just noticed someone else already posted this.. guess i didn't see it in all the trolling... - In essence, any combat related activity involving damage has been 'speed nerfed' to just take 6 times longer with a predetermined outcome coined balance by CCP. |

Train social to 4, fast talk to 3. Fast Talk level 4 takes like 4 days unless you got super high Charisma, and if you spend a few hours a day grinding sec status via the method mentioned above (Kill 1 high bounty BS per system in a loop of 0.0 systems, timed so that you are returning to the first system as soon as you receive the sec hit from 15 min prior), you'll go from -10 to -1.9 (able to enter 1.0 systems) within those 4 days (takes about 8-12 hours total depending on quality of rats) Oh and if you do happen to have a super high charisma, remap or biomass your character.

That. - I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |

Christer Fuglesang and Jeremy Tacs will help you with that. Just remember; You cannot ever commit a crime of piracy ever again if you wish to keep your security status at this level. These 2 missions are 1 time only.
