Originally by: Muad' Dib Your counting NPC's as enemy fleet ???
You know, this is what happens when your recruitment practices are reduced to 'hey, did you pay 10$ or not ?'.
There was a Sansha's Phantasm on a friendly km, thus it appeared in the battle overview as part of the enemy fleet hth.

It's all sophistry Zell, and you know it. Anyone in this game that has two brain cells to rub together knows it. There was no way any of you could have plowed into Delve the way you did if Haarg hadn't done an e tu Brute. It simply wasn't possible for us to stand a reasonable chance of defending so many suddenly vulnerable systems at once.
So here we are. We have lost land and name and a great deal of prestige in the eyes of many. Certainly you can mock us, you have and you will continue to. Lolcat will gather as much attention around him for as long as his 15 minutes of fame lasts and he will lala and ~~~~ to a charicaturish degree for as long as he likes.
In return, I can say because it is a fact: As long a any of us stand here and defy you, you will never feel you have "won". You will cry about it on the forums for years to come, because we will be here just as long as you are probably. As long as there is one of us left standing and looking at you, as long as one of us gets in a ship and comes after you. However successful, however unsuccessful. We are here. We are BoB. Always. It doesnt really matter what you call us at this point, we are still BoB. There is not a dam thing you can do about who we are. Not really.
Normally this would be where I would respond with "u mad?" and be done with it. But given the current round of moderators getting off of their butts I won't just post that.
We have won, you are defeated. There is no greater measure of an Alliance than the territory that they control and you control none.
We are not fighting bob, or kenzoku... we're fighting -A- and you're one of their pets.
You are no longer relevant.

Any genuine theories (bribery is a little LOL guys c'mon) why AAA is bothering to prop goku up? Goons and Co. have said time and time again they have no desire for Catch, Delve is all they've ever really wanted. They were willing to abandon 5 (6?) regions for it.
Other than exposing their eastern front and poking an angry bee's nest, what does AAA gain from helping Goku at all?
Heh, according to their forums their members are asking their leadership that same question...
Basically, -A-'s membership are being told by ET that we want to take their space when we're done with kenny. So in their minds they are fighting a defensive war using kenny as a buffer pet. In reality we don't give a **** (or two ****s) about their territory.

that's not really a fact because i, in fact, feel like i've "won"
Zastrow I hope you're better at being a CSM delegate than you are at quoting

You must be new here. Wars are won or lost based on many things, espionage included. You can sov3 a system and camp pipe system with multiple titans... but if you're internal security is lax you're still going to lose.

Edited by: Yonker on 04/06/2009 14:47:43 Mittens, why don't you make a new thread for each of these updates? Or at least add to the OP. Having to sort through 10 pages of crap to find the update/comments on the update is too much :effort:
Originally by: Snot Shot So here we sit with everyone throwing stones at Ken/GKC for being such losers for not being able to stop a left mouse click and then not having enough Allies show up to help defend 3 regions for 3+ months starting at SOV-1, all from the NAP train on their own land grab conquestà..wtf.
Dr. Shot
....'nothing short of omnipotence itself'?
We're throwing stones because they have tried to build themselves up as some sort of untouchable entity... when in fact they were just hiding behind a giant Sov3/4 wall with the ability to throw untold trillions of isk worth of superior ships at Alliances and wining battles by exploiting bad mechanics (remote doomsdays, hiding poses via Gridfu, pos bowling).
As soon as the field was equalized (Sov3 drop, an alliance with the ability to field the same amount of T2 battleships/cap ships/titans and the majority of the major exploits removed (i.e. titans nerfed)) they crumpled faster than many of their buffer pets.
Now, this once self declared omnipotent Alliance, has lost everything and become no better than some pirate alliance while at the same time being played as a pawn in the ongoing game of 0.0 warfare....
... yeah it is a little funny.

Originally by: Snot Shot So that was all you could come back with huàa few comments about a statement any Alliance leader would have made to rally troops, and then an attempt to tarnish the past 4 years of Epic wars won and lost by both sides of which many of us were apart of? Then, yet again, pointing to Ken not being able to take back 3 Regions knocked to Sov-1 overnight against the NAP train of EVEàà gfààtry and twist it another way so this thing does not look like the circus side show that it isà
On many occasions GS looked back at the East to take inventory as to how far gone their escape route was but was reassured by the NAP train that they were safe. And here we are again with this thread bleeding back into ôwhining, exploitsö, and the usual GS propaganda and meaningless drivel.
Just sayinàà..
Dr. Shot
What do you expect? Us to pat them on the back and say good job?
This started because they, a group of multi-million SP pilots in a massive 0.0 alliance, decided they wanted to stomp a bunch of lowsec pirate newbies over some internet words that offended them. They were not after some fair fight or a good time... they were attempting to remove us from the game in possibly the most one sided 'war' to date. This war is no more than a protracted 'NO U' from the above newbies. Except we were able to follow through.
There are a thousand reasons you can come up with as to why they lost. Individual battles, 'omg NAP fest', Haargoth stealing their alliance, etc. But looking at the overall picture... they started with every advantage possible and we started with newbies in Rifters.
But now we're sitting in Delve and they're the lowsec pirates.

Yeah, it's interesting how he only appears when kenny isn't getting reamed
In that case he should be disappearing shortly....

Originally by: Butter Dog Will goons please stop going on about 'number of alliances' like it has any meaning whatsoever.
You can't take a large number of crappy, small alliances, and compare them to superpowers, and make any kind of reasonable assessment based on 'number of alliances'.
Try talking size of cap fleets, member counts, fleet size, timezone coverage - anything but 'number of alliances' - its completely meaningless
You must be new here.
If anything that was a troll vs the whole 'omg NAPFleet' crap that kenny occasionally tries to use to justify their losses. |

I also know that the combined high-ends of all lost regions is somewhere around the 450bn mark. Significantly more than you gained.
Wow. Then how come our alliance income right now for 1 and 3/4 regions is over 500 bill a month???? I want to go back and have 450 bill for 5 regions and spend a ton more on tower fuel *cries*
I think all of these empire pubbies (like butterdog (zing)) are forgetting that alliance net income calculations include fuel cost. 2 regions of space < fuel cost than 5 regions of space. Especially when one of the regions will all be sov4 soon enough (not that that will save any a ton of money in the short term if we keep having Merchi-level screwups (:honk:)). |
