Well posting on Eve-o isn't going to help. That said, I hardly revise computing exams because if you don't know it all from the lectures you are never going to revise it in the time before an exam.
tru dat. nah exams are going ok, it's just computing really. I don't need to do particularly well in this last exam to get the grades I need, just the syllabus is dreadful and the definitions change from year to year, sooo....

So basically , you can't be assed?
I would go off on a rant about the youth of today, the entitlement generation and yadda yadda yadda but to be fair, you sound just like I did at school and I turned out ok. Sorta.

I've got computing tomorrow too. Speaking of which, I probably should be revising. Oh, and our teacher DIDN'T ACTUALLY TEACH US ANYTHING . I had to learn the entire A2 course in my own time over the last month or so.

This. I usually think people who complain about tutors to be either thick or self-righteous, but people are actually right to complain about the quality of teaching in computing... it seems to be the same for most people who've taken computing at A-level, the tutors are great at coursework etc but they HAVEN'T ACTUALLY TAUGHT ANYONE THE MATERIAL

Sadly cos most of them actually dont know the material..what they teach you in school/uni is NOT what happens out in the real world...

Dont worry. Even if you go to Uni to study Computer Science like me they look for subjects like Physics, Technical Studies, Maths and others over computing becuase of the state of the ciriculum of A-Level Computing. ---------------------

Just trying to work out if you're trying to be extraordinarily condescending, or he is actually your son (seems unlikely). Or is this an extension of calling people who disagree with you "stupid"? ____________________

No. He seemed to be in need of a fatherly advice. He then called me "dad".
If it makes you happy then you can be my "girl", stupid.

It works as slang, we use it where i'm from, pretty funny to go onto vent with "alright son?" to one of my mates and someone asks are we related.

A levels lol. First year is **** easy even when you dont go to most of your lessons/ do work. 2nd year can be difficult, even if you put the effort in . Mind you i took history, physics, maths, english language. So my fault for taking hard arse subjects

I sc****d an A in that, it wasn't that bad compared to trying to understand assembly language.

TBH the coursework for mine wasn't too bad. I ended up making a chat-type program and the actual programming was quite fun. The bad bit was 113 pages of documentation (+60 pages of code) I had to do afterwards.
However, as far as I can tell the actual exams are pretty formulaic and as long as I learn about 10 definitions and a bit of background on hardware I should be fine. Anyway... I probably should be learning that stuff instead of reading the forums...
