This being the Eve-O forums, the following statement is unfortunately a must:
I'm looking for info from people who have actually used the ships they are talking about in the plexes. No one else is qualified to speak in this thread. I don't need what you think might work, or what looks good on EFT, I'm looking for real experience.
As the header states, I'm looking for solo and duo ship combinations to run 0.0 sites. Also, is there a wall at like 9/10 or 10/10 where even duo, I'm not going to be able to run them with out a gang. What I'd like to find is what setup up I can get by with, not what you'd run if you had 60MM SP and billions of isk to waste on faction ships with all dead space mods. IÆm never going to train for mauraders, carriers, etc.
My initial hope was that I could run even up to 10/10 and its equivalents with a Vaga/Basilisk combo, but I'm concerned about the web/neut towers and only having short range weapons.
Lastly, are there any trick setups that work like using an inty to speed tank all the rats while dpsing with a gank BS.
Thanks for any advice, and sorry for the terse message at the beginning, but past experience has proven itÆs required.

I'd say from experience that using the inty/bs combo doesn't work, rats will re-target.
I'd try the big dps BS with basilisk combo... I've seen trios with basilisk/raven/binger before do very well.

Against Serpentis absolutely best is passive shield tanked Ishtar and something heavy dps, like Golem or Kronos.

I have ran 2 before,
there was a nighthawk and basil, and then there were 2 DPS BS (one was a raven and other amarr ship)
I have run by myself lvl 5 with the use of nighthawk and golem (golem fitted with shield transfers and DPS, no tank)
Hope this helps |

Similar to Bloody rabbit I run lvl V missions which put out up to 3k Dps.
I run with a 3 pilot team.
Kronos for damage, minimal tank
A remote Vulture with 7 links, max skills and shield mindlink. Inc Sig radius and shield harmonizing links plus armor links for the kronos.
Passive shield tanker. I use One of four tankers, Vulture... best tank, poor dps, Onyx or Broadsword... 2nd best tank, due to velocity and small sig radius. ok for popping frigs but no drones so not so useful. Nighthawk... slightly inferior tank but good Dps especially against frigs and cruisers.
All the above can take full room aggro including spawns easily (holding at 50 to 70% shields) but are weak against Angels and need remote shield transfer from the kronos which reduces its damage output (cap mods)
Lost a Kronos vs Wrath of Angels because I didn't have the transporters fitted. Vulture warped out at 10% shields but the kronos was Scrammed and died in seconds.
The warfare links could easily be fitted to the tanking Vulture or Nighthawk and the 2nd Vulture replaced by a logistics for Angels or just run with the tanker and damage dealer on any other racial damage types.
Corporation standings transfer service for Hisec Pos, 9.99 to Gallente, 9.64 to Minmatar

Haven't tried the vaga/basilisk combo, but really doubt that would be sufficient. In my experience, the easier cosmic sigs can be done with a Hyperion tank and RR Raven. Everything but the most difficult can be done with a Hyperion tank and a couple RR Ravens. That's what I have, so that's what I run. 1 RR on the Hyp, 2 RRs on one Raven, and 3 RRs on the last Raven. I can't run more than 2 RRs cap stable on a Raven without giving up a low slot, and I don't like doing that because I don't like leaving a room after the initial wave when damage starts to split and the ravens start tanking. If you are limited to two accounts and you want to keep your losses relatively cheap (i.e., insurable) you can use several more RRs cap stable on a raven if you give up low slots. This is likely true of many other BSs as well. I haven't done it (haha, I'm breaking your rule!), but I've done enough sites to know that you can control aggro enough on most to sites to thin out the tank on your logistics BS.

I used passive Nighthawk and active Cerberus as solo ships in DED6. But the cerb work against only kin/therm rats I think. |

up to 10/10 where you need at least an alt and specified tactic you should be able to do everything but ends of toughest escalations solo

Sneer - please explain. And let me be the first to sneeze into my hand and say "BS!" I must admit though, I really only do cosmic sigs and I haven't done anything less than a 10/10 DED plex, so I don't know about the easier DED plexes. From my extensive experience in cosmic sigs in 0.0, I don't think it's feasible to do anything but the easiest ones solo. Also, if you can't do the last rooms of an escalation you are wasting your time doing the earlier rooms. Also also, the last room in cosmic sigs is not necessarily the most difficult. |
