So here i am, browsing and looking online for some people who build stuff in lego...EVE having some of the best design in ships, i wanted to create one of my favorite ship...the caldari drake. So heres some step shots of the construction. The model is far from over because i need to order some pieces lol....i will take more screen shots eventually and put them here :) I saw other people making lego model...but all really small...so i went the oposite way...roughly 2 foot long :) enjoy and i ll keep you posted
Sorry for the small size shots...imageshack was kinda limited in space hehe.
Linkage Linkage Linkage oh look at that...who is that guy ?? lol Linkage naturraly..all the black panels will be hidden in the final product...this is the main support structure complete. Linkage Linkage under portion will be done as well....need to order some pieces still so for now i ll concentrate on dorsal part. Linkage bridge structure with some fron at well. Linkage completed front section (some minor details will be added later but for the most part it s done Linkage front section details Linkage
So later on i ll add more ss here...up to now i ve put 15 hours into the work.... : hope you like !!
oh yeah...for those who want to know how much something like this would cost...counting all the lego starwars i used and doing the math...the complete project will roughly be around 700$ worth of pieces :)
ps : funny fact....i can t fly the drake yet LOL....i m gallente haha

Originally by: Eraggan Sadarr Ah cool, i always loved LEGO. How did you get so many pieces, i mean you just bought the same boxes over and over again?
Keep up the good work.
i used the AT-ST collector edition, the Tie advance collector edition, the b-wing ship and some of my own designed models i ordered using the 3D software from lego....so that makes roughly 3500 pieces, of course not all used yet and the model is far from complete...i need to design the missile launchers on the side with the software and then order the pieces :) will take some times but in the end it s worth it...so using those briks color i can do pretty much all caldari ships lol. :)
