eg. Clarity requires Spatial Awareness lvl5 and so on for the others
Also theres about 13 Trade skills listed and for sale on market.

Edited by: BobGhengisKhan on 24/09/2004 06:27:19 Tripoli, why would you train them all to 5? Just to boast that you have more skillpoints than most people? The payoffs come so late that I dont see the point, especially with the training that needs to be done for tech 2 turrets and the new ship classes that are coming
Is your only goal to have a higher total of points, regardless of how many of them are useful abilities to earn money or fight, or do you believe it's worth a shot investing in them now to have them pay off much later?

I do believe trip's intended goal was to have every skill in the game, as well as having as many skill points as possible...
Me personally, I'll be training em to 4, and to lvl5 when I run out of other things to train (damn new gunnery/ship skills) ----------- "Remember people: Omber is the biggest evil ever created, DO NOT let it get to you!" Waagaa Ktlehr, BDCI

Less than two months to train the advanced skills to level 5...a mere blink in time in the grander scheme of things

Has it been confirmed that adv learning skills will be on the market?
I heard a few weeks back that they would only be available through agent missions at first...

I think you'll agree the following would be fair:
Clarity pre-req -- Spatial Awareness V Eidetic Memory pre-req -- Instant Recall V Focus pre-req -- Iron will V Logic pre-req -- Analytical Mind V Presence pre-req -- Empathy V
all skills with rank(3) all skills with MEM primary and INTEL secondary.
possible Primary requirement as Learning V, and secondary requirement as stated above.
I agree with you...Learning 5 should be a requirement as well as the associated skill to Level 5. MEM and INT should be the primary and secondary attributes...skills should be rank 2 or 3 as well.

58 days 18 hours 3 minutes.
Not too bad.
Did you account for the fact that as you learn these learning skills it will take less time to learn the next one since your stats are improving?

Yes I did; however, it is now known that they are not all int/mem skills, so it will take a bit longer. ---

Long time, no see, Bob.....but then that's probably a good thing for me.
It's not about having useful skills for me so much, that's what my alt is for. It's not really about having the most SP, because I never will thanks to Caymus and a few others.
For me I enjoy the training. The faster it goes the better. Imagine training a Rank(3) skill from 0 to level 5 in less than 13 days. Or training a Rank(1) from 4 to 5 in 3 days 13 hours. THAT'S what it's all about.
I will most likely train little or nothing until they are all done being maxed out. ---

even though it would take forever to recoup the time spent training the adv learn skills to 5, it would still be nice to have them maxed out so if a skill comes along that you hadnt planned on training, you know it would train as fast as possible having the learning skills maxed out.
if anything, i think id train the adv learning skills to 5 for my lower attributes, like percep and will, to get the most benefit from the long train times.

Timekeeper, only problem with that now is that the advanced learning skills are based off the attribute your trying to train, so the related advanced skill will also be the one that will take the longest to learn I'm afraid!

So no Learning 5 then?
If so cool. I left Learning at level 4 well over a year ago and would have broken even by now. I would really have regretted that descion if Learning 5 was a requirement.

I was just on Entropy and looked at the price of these new skills. They are almost 5 mil a piece! That is a huge increase over the regular learning skills which cost around 50,000 isk. Yes I have a great deal of money, but still. To spend 20 million isk for something that the devs believe to be important for Shiva training is a bit much. The price on Entropy may be wrong and that would be good. 500k is a better price for these skills. Not everyone has 20 mil to sink into a grand total of 4 skills. |
