since the announcement of the new update, the market has crashed. its about as bad as the US market right now. there is still no timeframe on this update, so wtf, why announce it, they dont announce the other nerfing updates.. why this one.... I guess ill just stockpile all the sleeper loot, polymers, and componets for now... pointless to try and sell them...
end rant.......

Go read the dev-blog by CCP Chronotis
And yep I've stopped all non-request manufacturing of T3 for our alliance (i.e. subsystems and hulls intended for market sales). Mind you since we are also T3 harvesters it didn't impact the market much - we're fairly self supplying.
The good thing is that we may see some reduction in T3 subsystem inventories on the market as people stop production while waiting for the changes to take effect.

OK What Nurfing update if your referring to the fact that the prices are high then well just grow up. its a player run market so its gonna take time to even out its like a real market we react to other players and change our prices accordingly
what the eve community wanted would be like all the car dealers saying "lets sell cars for 1000$USD brand new!" it wont work that way
CCP said 300/400 mill point Eventually so be patient
and if this is not what this threads about sorry i need to get that off my chest

its not that they are doing the update that ticked me off, its how they announced it. With no timeframe on the update itself, thus shutting down the market until the update is released. so for us that live in WH space it basically will force us to stock pile and live off the gravametric sites that spawn.
The update is supposed to give you more loot in salvaging, more runs per bpc , more of everything basically to reduce cost. |

um... This is a problem how??? I find the lack of crowding and the ability to kill annoyances quite relaxing.
P.S. it (the changes) hit Sisi which usually means one month or less till it hits TQ.

Yes, it is relaxing, but we were using the cash flow to get more Components for t3 production for the POS. we have about 80% of the stuff now.. so i guess ill use High sec stations for the rest.

Edited by: El Liptonez on 12/06/2009 18:52:03 Just reading about this "crash" for the first time... From what it sounds like I'd say I lost 700m ISK. And I don't care. What do you think would have the market looked like in 3 months? Wormholes offer a ****load of ISK-making opportunities, T3 is only the most obvious one. You didn't lose anything anyway as long as you're able to unanchor and sell your stuff. The carebear tears are overwhelming. What you think about waiting till the patch and seeing that you will make the same amounts of ISK?
This patch makes me happy anyway as it converts a failure into some good new content to eve. I'd like to see a lot more T3 ships (my own one, too), and if that goes well, we'll maybe get some more ship classes or even modules in T3 variants - who knows. |

Yeah, is nice to hunt guys down in the system... we have visitors from time to time but it is rare, we mainly run into them when we go to the neighbooring WH system.

they probably did it to see how much the players were gouging the price. seeing as how there was a huge drop it most likely means its still profitable at those lower prices and that the players were marking it up alot. its probably the markets reaction so that CCP won't make the changes |

There is no need to do such crap!
You could just grab your calculator and calc the manufacturing cost if you wanted to know. And if they had done it, they would have seen that not the supply is an issue, but the low competition on the manufacturer side is what keeps the price so high.

Analogy:
Customer: Cars kind of cost a lot. Ford: Yeah, they are big and hard to make. Customer: But they cost like $20,000 Ford: Yeah, that's what it costs in material. Voice from Above: We're looking into a change that will let you make cars out of sunshine and happy thoughts. Customer: Sweet! I'll have three cars, please. Ford: $60,000 please! Customer: But... didn't you hear that announcement? Soon they will be free to make. Ford: But these weren't, and that isn't true yet. Customer: No sale. Ford: *Grumbles* ugh. These cars aren't selling, and l need money to feed my space-family. How does $10,000 sound? Luxior: See?! Ford was gouging us the entire time!!! Ford: ?? Customer: ?? Voice from Above: ?? Luxior: ?? |

Absolutely, and so is the time i spend mining gas, and so are the ships i lose to rampaging gangs, and so is.......
frankly you chaps should cough up the iskies and stop complaining if you ever want to fly a T3 ship....
alternatively YOU can send your 15 man RR BS gang into a deadly wormhole and bring the loot out? Just a thought... |

I've done the exploration and combat plexes in WHs and mined gas etc.
Knowing what goes into making a T3 ship (hulls and subsystems) this price is highly inflated at every level (when compared to the time, investment, and risk involved), from the raw materials to intermediate and final goods.
I think one of the great things about EVE is that there isn't "one top isk earning activity" that everyone does and avoids the rest of them at all costs. With the current price levels, thats what T3/WH related stuff is becoming. |

Sounds like the OP is just complaining about how they can't sell anything right now and how the prices are going to go down in the future due to the increased supply of components.
The way I see it, prices were going to go down whether ccp had made changes or not. There's an increasing number of people exploring and bringing back the needed requirements for tech III production, thus increasing supply. With that combined with CCP's planned change, the prices should drop significantly.
The corps who have been manufacturing tech III have been taking advantage of the inflated prices, imo.
Personally, I would think tech III producers would be open for such changes because there will effectively be a larger market with cheaper tech III prices; very few are willing to spend as much money as the prices have been. |

^This! Anyone remember how every time something new is released, the prices on these items are extremely high at the beginning, (tier 3 BC's for over 100mil isk, anyone), then start to taper down as the market levels out and production goes up? Yes, congratulations to those of you making isk hand over foot by setting up a large POS in a class 6 and farming sleepers day and night with your 15 min RR BS gangs. But you're going to have to deal with the fact that the market is going to change, and you might not be able to make 1000% profit off the new tech forever. Enjoy it while it lasts, and start figuring out how to make the next buck off the next addition.
P.S. - Dear Devs, please give us a release date on ambulation. I want to replace ship spinning with being lost in a starbase! |
