Edited by: Tres Farmer on 12/06/2009 16:34:09 I'll add more info as it comes in.. but so far the following:
Intact hulls give you 10 runs Malfunctioning hulls give you 10 runs Wrecked hulls give you 3 runs
Chances hadn't been touched as far as i can say.. the outcomes meet my expectations/experience from former jobs (samplesize per test 20 RE jobs).
Due to the now absolutely crappy 3 run wrecked relics, unknown w-sys magneto sites are dead jim...
Would had been better to reverse the run-outcome of the prints into the other direction so that the wrecked relics get some love as they're already worthless to loot. Something along the lines of this: Wrecked - 5 runs Malfunctioning - 4 runs Intact - 3 runs |

It'll depend on the increased drop rate of the datacores and decryptors. Prior to this they dropped in aproximately the correct amount to reverse engineer only the malfunctioning stuff. No surplus to use on the wrecked (except hulls which used k-space datacores). Hull relics are sill rare enough that it'll be worth reverse engineering wrecked especially since they don't use w-space datacores.
This however will address the supply of hulls which I was getting worried about. Prior to this the hulls were coming in about the right quantity to match a 1:20 ratio of subsystems. The problem being of course that ships and sub-systems get killed in a 1:5 ratio leading to an eventual serious over-supply of subsystems on the market (except for FOTM).
course we still need to see the results for subsystem reverse engineering.
I think we'll see people start dumping un-popular bpc's and simply manufacture the popular ones. This will result in relatively affordable T3 if you don't go for FOTM, but rather expensive ones if you go for the popular subsystems.
I think that should the supply situation (of bpcs and of bottleneck gasses and salvage) even out a bit, the BPC situation will result in a spread of T3 cruiser value from 500mil (or less) all the way up to 1.5 bil. |

I would see it more like: same chance to get BPC across the board. Wrecked 1 run, malf. 5 runs, intact 10 runs (or 2/5/10, whatever - this one to be chosen).
With the 3/10/10 and crap chance on wreckeds they are now even worse than they were. |

very nice changes, finaly more ppl will be able to buy t3, not only directors from alliances and pve farmers. |

In addition, with increased datacore and decryptor drop rates the cost of reverse engineering shrinks. Which means the cost delta between a "would never fit" and a "must fit" subsystem will decrease, since both are made of the same materials.
Which means ONLY the #1 and possibly #2 subsystems will be mass manufactured. The result prints for other subsystems can be treated as failures and simply stockpiled as a hedge against future buffs and nerfs. |

"can"?
..make that a "must" and we're set..
Well.. if the raw materials for building the ships doesn't increase by 300% of its actual supply the prices for the RE stuff will suffer, as not as much is needed then. On the other hand, only if the supply of the materials to build the systems and hulls exceeds this 300% figure the wrecked relics will have any value..

Currently I show the top 2 ingredients (cost wise) for building the hulls (neurovisuals and Carbon-86) as taking up approximately 82% of the cost of production. Did you notice any changes to that mix? |
