I have an ancient (but not bad for Eve) ATI 9700 Pro. My FPS has gone down from between 40 and 60fps to between 20fps and 30fps. At all resolutions. The higher numbers were before Revelations (27912). It's strange because I could understand it if there were major visual improvements. There aren't so the framerate drop must be caused by something else.
Is there more reliance on the CPU? Another weird thing is that the framerate stays the same no matter what resolution I run it at, a unimpressive 20fps to 30fps. I have a much faster system with a newish NVIDIA card, I may try installing Eve on that to see if it gets a framerate comparable with other games of similar complexity. I think it's a dual core though, so maybe not.
I know I sound like someone who is constantly moaning about the game, but I have no problems at all with the actual game, just the problems the patch has introduced for me. Hopefully some of these issues will be worked out in the next patch.

Interesting, same config as my last post, but if I shut the overview and any other open UI dialogues, I gain 8-10 FPS. Can someone else please try this? Does shutting open windows gain FPS in Revelations?
(Anyone reading in the future please bear in mind this may only apply to the patch I'm using)

Imo, you're the one doing something wrong since it seems you have a videocard in your pc which doesn't even excist.
While I think you're probably right and the video card name is a typo there are some weird NVIDIA rebrands out there. My dad bought a computer in Germany that had (IIRC) an Nvidia 6700, which turned out to be a slightly overclocked 6600 but with a different name. It took a few weeks for the ordinary Nvidia drivers to work with it while they updated .inf files. I think the typo you refer to is probably an ATI 9500 XT.

I am suffering a post Revelations FPS drop though, as I suspect many other are. I'm using an ATI 9700 pro, which was fast in its time, and fast for Eve prior to the revelations patch. Now I'm lucky if I break the 26 fps mark. I get some horrific pauses in the middle of battles too. I'm hoping they'll fix the performance in the next patch, or they'll need to update the recommended specifications, and break the bad news to those of us with older computers. People without a clue probably don't bother to measure things like the FPS and use subjective descriptions.
