I've been doing missions for an agent and I currently have a 6.6 standing with him. Yet no level 2 missions are available.
Is there a way, in-game or not, to see what agents you need to run missions for and when and what level 2 missions you open up? ------ buy my music here or listen to it here |

Easiest place to check is the Agent's Corp Information, to see what L2 Agents are available.

If corporations is just about empty you can also follow the same procedure for the top faction and pick a good sounding corp within it (if you want kill missions you should be able to find one that sounds as though it gets involved in combat). 4) Click the agents tab. 5) Expand the list, and it will show which agents are available to you.
Do enough missions that your standings get high enough that more agents become available to you. If this is happening too slowly for you train the 'social' skill to gain standing more quickly and train the skill 'connections' for a percentage gain on your current level of standings. Having almost zero standings before skills and connections at 4 should enable you to access minimum quality level 2 agents without having done many missions at all.
Use the best agent you can for the level you can safely complete. Agent quality has no reflection on mission difficulty, just on your rewards for it. For mission types see bio info below. Also bear in mind that lower security systems give better rewards, but once you are into .4 or below you can be shot at by passing players too.

In case you missed it somehow, level of agent = level of missions they give. |

This should do it. You don't need to fill in all of the information. Region, corporation or faction, and level should be sufficient. ______________ Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn. |

Thanks, that helps a lot. Already found the most accessible lvl II agent. How much will it take me to raise my standing by 0.5? |

That's gonna depend on several factors. You only gain faction standing from Storyline Missions, but the boost you get from them varies. Plus there's a social skill that boosts standing gain, IIRC. Also mission level is important. So it depends what storyline missions you get.
You may get lucky and get a bunch with large standing boosts, or you may get stuck with bad ones and end up with a L3 agent before you can get there, but this is doubtful.
Since I haven't had to worry about this for some time, hopefully someone else will be able to give you a better frame. But the truth is that it's variable.

The connections skill : Skill at interacting with friendly NPCs. 4% Modifier to effective standing from friendly NPC Corporations and Factions per level. Not cumulative with Diplomacy or Criminal Connections. |

Nope, turns out I meant Social itself. 5% bonus to standing gains. Also, Connections isn't taken into account for 0.5 requirement for FW. |
