has anyone ganked these? and if so, is there anything in the hauls to make it worth while and will concord engage you for shooting them?

AFAIK, the faction whose haulers they are will attack you, not CONCORD. Their drops are supposedly consumer products, i.e. nothing special.
Just what I've heard...

As much as it pains me to help an amarr...
If you attack them the hauler, their escorts and the station (as long as it is the same corp) will attack you. Try and engage them 150km from the station guns but remember they warp in/out very close to this range and I don't think points will stop them. I don't remember what they drop but it usually isn't anything big. However hauler spawns in lo-sec and 0.0 will yield far more lucrative items. |

We not in IGS bro, all RPing stays in there or in game, ;) no need to hate. There is non pirate npc haulers in low sec and in o.o? or were you referring to the ones that spawn in belts and are of pirate faction? |

Concord won't engage you ever, but the station will if the convoy you attack is from that stations corp. Easiest way to do this is to find a system with stations from many different races, and only attack convoys from a different race to the station you're at (and don't forget to wait out the agression timer afterwards).
You can make a bit of money - all they drop is trade goods these days, but for a total noob it's probably better than running most L1s, or at least it's a bit of a distraction for a while. |

Being certain the station wont own you is a bit of a time consuming process, but even so its worthwhile for noobs. Basically u sit and watch npc haulers undock and make their way to the warp point 100k from the station. You can tell from the direction which station they are warping to so you do the same (at 100) and gank them UNLESS the station they warp to is of the same corp (not faction) as the one they left. If you dont do this you might get caught out as the haulers tend to double back and wander around as the convoy is forming and what looks like a convoy going in to dock may have actually just undocked. This is not an issue where different races use the same system as you can tell by the ship type (i.e. a badger outside a gallente station is on the way in and thus a target, an iteron might not be). All they drop is trade goods so its not worthwhile for most people, though there tends to be an npc buy for what they carry in the station they are going to so the loot is easy to shift. |

Take care though, you'll take a massive standing hit (8% iirc) with the corp the hauler belongs to.
So it's a bad idea to do this outside your mission station ;) |

If the convoy is shipping to another station you can attack with no sentry blowing you up. However if you attack CONCORD convoys or custom convoys expect to be attacked even if the inbound station does not belong to any of these factions ( convoy leaving a station always are belonging to that corp ). The drop is trade good not worth it, i didnt saw convoys in low sec but i dont know about .0 ( my guess is they are missing from that space also ).

Confirming from firsthand experience (of my main not this alt) that 0.0 hauler spawns DO happen, but in the way that all belt rats spawn.
They usually drop massive amounts of low grade minerals (got 15 mil trit from one once)
