So you want CCP to give your free game time in return for their own in-game currency?
Seriously, why is your inability to play for free CCP's (or anyone else's) problem? Or, rather, your inability to play for a month for free for a single day's ISK grinding? What's the basis for your sense of entitlement?

Yeah, you're right. CCP really should give the ISK sellers a huge boost in income. Nice plan.
Say, are you involved in politics at all? We could really use a mind like yours to get the war on drugs moving again.

I heard the Devs say we could buy beers at the Fanfest with ISK! True story!
[/scurrilous rumour]
And that was the day everyone put down their blasters and pvp ships and missioned together in peace.. or ninja salvaged.
With the exception of some teetotaler that will be blasting everyone.
In EvE? The risk is low...

Originally by: Illwill Bill I find it disturbing that CCP are trying to make money from EVE. Can't we just fund it with taxes?
TAXES ARE COMMUNIST!
We should just fund EvE with deficit spending!

You don't solve drug problems by offering your own 'legal' version.
Yes, actually you do. |

I smell strong ethics on this one.
I smell a strong disinclination to face the facts of the matter on this one.

It is an ethical debate, I'll give you that. But providing legal versions of substances is only one of the many complicated ways to deal with drug problems. Its worth pointing out that it has only ever had limited success in the past hence why the local authority I work for pays me lots of cash to explore alternatives.
Anyway enough about drug problems! Back on topic!!
Well analogies aren't for everyone, it seems.
People will buy ISK, one way or the other. (Just as in the real world, people buy drugs whether or not they're illegal)
The normal RMT trade is really harmful to game economies, because the people selling the ISK dont care a bit about the health of the game, and will cheerfully use exploits, hijack accounts, create as much ISK/gold/whatever as they can get away with; whereas GCTs are at least funding the game, the people who create or earn the ISK to pay for them are the ones playing the game, and they have a strong incentive not to exploit or hack accounts. (Just as in the real world, drug dealers are criminals who will sell to children, cut their product so you never really know what (or how much you're taking) you're taking - and the profits are not taxed or put to any good purpose, whereas if drugs were supplied by licensed, legal vendors they would be incentivised to sell pure drugs in measured doses to adults only)
Yeah and so on. You get the idea. It's been said about a million billion times that it sure would be nice if no-one felt the need or desire to buy ISK, but as long as we're living in an imperfect world populated by falliable humans, GTX/PLEX sales are the "least harm" option. If you can come up with a better solution, let's hear it. Just saying LOL BAN GTC FOR ISK BECAUSE JESUS DISAPPROVES will do EvE as much good as the 18th amendment did for downtown Chicago's murder rate in the 30s.

...How the /hell/ can you make that much isk in one day? With serious grinding (Which wears me out from a game SO FAST and I usually end up taking a break for a month or more when that happens.) I tend to only make ~35m isk a day, give or take. And of course, I don't play 23/7. I do sleep for 8 hours a night, have daily shower to take, meals to eat with family members, etc.
(Before anybody mentions "Golem," 1. I don't have the skills for that yet, though I do have Caldari BS 5. And 2. I can in no way afford a Golem. Now, a nightmare. That I would -love- to fly. Still the problem with the pricing..and the fact that I don't have large energy turret. xD)
My mediocre missioning skills (CNR, BS 4, Cruise 4, social skills at 3) can get me 100M in an evening. If I grind all day, with a salvaging alt, I can clear ~300M. This isn't quite enough for a PLEX, but it used to be which is what the OP wants.
If I had proper L33t missionbear skills, and could be bothered to turn my LP into anything but faction ammo to sell to my alliance at mate's rates, I could probably pay for a PLEX in a Sunday's worth of missioning.
