Has anyone else noticed that Veldspar roids in high sec has gone huge? And that the belts are respawning, every single day, after DT (at least at Amarr space).
Is there an explanation that I missed?
Your comments plz.

Define 'huge'.
Two cycles for a Hulk? Three?
Inquiring minds want to know. 'Bout to dust off my Hulk and Orca. |

Well I have a no station system I work out of using 1 Hulk, Retriever and a Orca. Typically I could empty a belt by myself and it would equal 1 full load in my Orca. (Orca wasn't rigged and Industrial command was at 3)
I took a few days off from mining and finished training Industrial command to 4 and now have a second Hulk. I also rigged the orca with 3 cargo expander rigs, so I added a lot more cargo space.
It now takes roughly 1.5 cargo full loads of the orca to clear out a belt. I was thinking maybe it was because no one was mining the belts while I took my break for a few days, but maybe not. |

Edited by: Frobos on 25/06/2009 16:59:30 I to have noticed an increase in available Veldspar and the size of the rocks. Don't know if this has anything to do with macro killing initiatives (thx CCP!) and/or modification of the belt spawn mechanism (thx again CCP!!).
When I ventured out a couple days ago, a good number of the physical size of the rocks were just like you see in low/null sec space; 5-10km in diameter and with at least 100,000 units said ye old survey scanner. Sort of looked like someone set "maxAsteroidAmount = true" somewhere :)
I haven't confirmed the daily re-spawn assumption yet and am not about to go blabbering system names for everyone to raid. I must say it is a welcome change to be able to log knowing I only have a short time to get my "fix" of this online habit and I no longer have to waste over half of it doing a dozen jumps while searching/fighting over roid scraps.
Edit: **IBC**

It's been posted before. The amount of minerals spawned in the belts throughout eve is directly related to the amount that has been used...ie if there was a large battle and many player ships destroyed recently the same amount of minerals for those ships to be manufactured is distributed to the belts on the next respawn. Perhaps there have been some very large battles recently, or perhaps CCP saw fit to kill the macros and give a slight increase.

No nothing to do with battles! There just been a large increase in size at daily down times. CCP tweaked the respawn rates nothing to do how many people been mining! Just the simple teaking on the roids!

Maybe has something to do with your name being the only name in the GD "last post" for every thread.
Would be nice if roids were spawning larger than before!
