Ok, i know a mach isnt a good pve ship, however money is not an issue and based on my current skills, i was wondering which would be better for me, albeit i would end up having 2 fittings for my mach depending on ranges etc. If a mach is remotely close to the CNR at my skills, i would rather the mach.....ok here it goes.
Gunnery- Large art/ac spec 4 All support skills at V
Missles- Cruise 4 All support skills at 3, warhead@4
Also, my armor tanking ability is about 1.5 times better than my shield tanking ability.
I know it may be a dumb question but w/e... |

PvE pwnmobile: definitely the cnr
PvE pimpmobile: definitely the mach
Did I make sense?
(cnr is far easier for pve, but the mach looks a thousand times better) |

Haha yea i know, my question was mainly: Given my better skills for projectiles etc, would running l4's in a mach give me grey hair? or will it just be slightly slower than the CNR. |

If you can afford to lose the Machariel for that strange time when the server lags or you can't kill that scrambling elite frigate or something, I'd go for it. CNR might be easier, but you have the skills to handle a Machariel, don't waste it! |

I don't know how good a mach is for pve but your missile skills are more than fine to blow stuff skyhigh in a CNR. |

My question would be, Where are you running your missions? If you are in amarr/caldari space i would prolly go with the CNR even though it doesn't sound like you want to use it. If you run in minmatar space then the mach won't be that bad. The CNR will prolly still out preform it and be easier to run but the difference won't be huge and the mach does look 100X cooler. |

Edited by: Kayna Eelai on 26/06/2009 11:06:50 @OP u told us that your armor tanking ksills are better than shield tanking, but you didn't specify much on how good your skills look.
getting into a mach without the proper tanking and gunnery skills (able to use all T2 modules) is a blasphemy. it's like average joe buying a formula-1 and pretending to know he can pilot it.
you'd better off either with a normal battleship until you have the skills to actually fit that thing properly. in the meanwhile, fly a normal tempest or typhoon (very nice mission runners) or take that CNR if you're so eager on spending your money. last time i checked the CNR was around half the price or less than a mach.
on long term, i'd suggest a marauder over a faction BS.

Well, i got the mach, like i said isk isnt an issue...i think the time was made up by how fast i killed cruisers w/ ACs....1-2 volleys...elite or not w/e...and as long as i made frigs primary i was fine, they melted fast before they got to me...im either cap stable with a ab running or with the rep running, so caps not really an issue for me...all in all it was pretty good, based on the fact that id rather not stare at that stupid cnr....however for long range missions where aggro is an issue w/ range etc...ill stick to my CNR |

If you fly against Amarr, then take 2 weeeks to train Amarr BS IV, Lasers to IV, and buy a Nightmare. Doesn't matter how bad your shield skills are , you don't tend to use them.
If you fly against Angels, then it's a tossup. CNR for "one fit all", Mach if you have good gunnery skills. It looks a thousand times better too.
