I know that in AT6, FW teams were given automatic entry to the tournament, and the main reason they didn't do to terribly well was because they didn't have enough time to prepare. There has been no official word on whether they will be given automatic entry this year, but even if the answer is no I'm sure the 14,000 people who play FW will want to know as soon as possible. If the answer is yes, then the FW players will want to know as soon as possible so they have time to prepare. Looking for some dev input on this ASAP. |

Then would you be able to explain the exclusion of Faction Warfare from this tournament all together then?
Seeing as Faction Warfare Militias do not have Executors. Hmmmm
Whether it was on purpose or not, CCP has shunned FW and it isn't as if there is a seemingly good reason for it.

"Every FW team was horrible. Only 5 people cared. No one besides those people are" is a much better interpretation. I'd rather those 4 slots are kept open for teams that can actually fight.

Funny, the Caldari FW Team topped Goonswarm... sooo what was that about teams that can actually fight?
It is a reasonable question. Less Flame.

I don't think the FW teams should be included. This is the "Alliance Tournament", it should be for player alliances only imo, regardless of skill or how much they care. Some of them performed great last time, some not, but that's irrelevant. ________________ Master Technique Latest Video:H:TC

I'd have been perfectly happy to see FW teams in the tourney, but I'm definitely in the 'more is better' for who to let in camp.
They probably just couldn't decide who to rob for 2b for the FW teams.

This is the Alliance Tournament - its a tournament for Alliances.
The inclusion of FW teams last time was not the start of a new standard, but rather something we thought would be fun that the FW teams would enjoy, and it was great to watch some of the FW teams put out a really good showing too.
The Alliance Tournament also does not make allowances for solo players, corps that aren't in Alliances, etc - who it allows is very specific.
This is also the reason that we have no rules that limit alliances to only ones that are a certain age or so on; any player or players, corps, and so on, can create an alliance with the sole aim of entering the tournament. I encourage you to do the same if you want to participate.

The simple solution would be to allow corps who are in alliances to also be in a miltia.

The FW teams didn't COLLECTIVELY do enough to guarantee another wild card year like they got last year. Whilst some individual performances were meritorious.
Maybe for VIII them can have a prequal for the 4, with the best entering the tournament proper.
I think thats fair enough.
But to be fair, that would just be a two-horse between Caldari and Gallente.
