Ok, am I nuts? Just delivered some copy jobs, and in both cases no amount of ordering by type got the originals placed at the start or end of the copies. I had to right click on over 160 prints (that's 480 clicks including closing the info window) today to separate the copies from originals.
Is anyone else having this problem or am I cursed? If this is a new feature as of the latest patch t2 manufacture just became an even more hellish clickfest.
I fear for the future of my forearms and mouse buttons. And in summary, bigger blobs are the answer. Now what was the question? |

I've never been able to consistently sort between them.
Hence why I put copies into a can once they are pulled from the POS.

Oh that's right, the 1.3.1 patch did change the implementation of inventory management for performance reasons. I'm not going crazy after all.
Yeah, can sorting prints immediately after single delivery is the only way to go. That still doesn't solve the problem of the original being in a random position in the copies, with an average of 30 clicks needed to find it per each 20 copies delivered.
Gack. And in summary, bigger blobs are the answer. Now what was the question? |

If you deliver output to a different hangar, doesn't the original print stay in the hangar it was in when you started the job?
Starting the job in a station also solves the problem (Empire wins!).

Use the S+I window. Not only will that tell you which prints are Os and which are Cs, you can sort the list based on that or you can even filter one or the other BP type out entirely.
Granted that's not as nice as the corp hangar actually making sense but it beats the hell out of the click festival you're describing.

You are a lifesaver. I've put a stickynote with your corp and name on my monitor with a "DO NOT GANK" heading, just in case.
And the Eve learning curve gets a tiny bit steeper.

Searching for the original print between the copy spam is really fun.
Please fix it ASAP, CCP!

When you deliver one copy job BPO always is at the end of item list. Put all but the last to the copys can and last to bpo can and deliver next job.

Edited by: Lord Fitz on 04/07/2009 03:01:01 Sorting by type only sometimes puts copies / originals in order. It seems to just use the order that database spits it out within each type, which naturally will tend to place items created at the same time together.
S&I window (and improvement of this) is what's really needed.
In corp hangars the S&I window filtering + right click > deliver to hangar works wonders for sorting BPCs into other hangars. Also locking down BPOs.
