Can't tell you anything about profitability, but gas cloud harvesters require turret slots (mining barges and exhumers don't have these, FYI) so I think most people use a battlecruiser when cloud harvesting. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

Sure.. please advise 3,000,000,000 isk to my ingame wallet and I tell you all I know.
All there is and should be is the Dev Blog about Boosters.. try Google with it. Best ship for gas harvesting is the Moa, as its cheap and has enough CPU and turret slots (5x T2 harvesters). For hauling the gas you'll want an industrial anyways.. so no real need to try to pimp out a BC. Though, you can go for a BS with turrets and cargo expander modules and rigs.. should give you 5.000m3 on a Mega.
And btw.. market is tight, especially with the risk involved, that the POS in lowsec can be blown up anytime and the ROI on synth boosters is somewhat of over a month. Dunno about the ROI of the better stuff atm though.

Booster production is a very niche industry and thus, thankfully, there is not a whole lot of info out there on it (in terms of profitability and the ladar sites that have the BPCs and gases). Go out and run some numbers yourself and see what you come up with. If you can find buyers, the mid-grade and higher end boosters are definitely very profitable.

Oh, and just like any industry, do not make the mistake that you can "casually invest" in booster production and make instaisk. It is definitely a risky and hefty investment and should not be entered lightly without proper research, support, and planning.
