Clicking on the link to download the latest patch to Sisi, my browser gets directed to http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/test/mac/evepremiumpatch94168-93706_test-mac.tgz, but I'm getting a 404.
What do I need to do to be able to play on Sisi? |

SiSi and TQ are currently running on the same version. Therefore there's no need to patch. Just duplicate the client, point it to a different preference folder and to the sisi server. All instructions are in the stiky/knowledgebase.
The above, of course, may change in a few hours if they deploy a new version on sisi.
Please, spend 1 minute of your time and check this out

Edited by: BRAZEN FURY on 04/07/2009 18:28:16 Hi Ami,
Found the sticky, I think. I used the one that points me to http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Mac_Bug_Reporting.
I copied my EVE Online 1 app to EVE Online Sisi and changed the PrefsFolderName, same as I did to be able to play with two clients. Starting the new file adds the preferences folder.
Copied the "cmdlineadd" = "/server:87.237.38.50" into the config file, along with "Y" to the desktop line so it starts in a window.
The config file now ends like so:
;; App default settings ;; Ereg [AppDefaults\\eReg.exe\\transgaming] "Disable" = "Y" "cmdlineadd" = "/server:87.237.38.50"
EVE Online Sisi now does start in a window, but it still connects to TQ? Did I forget something? Did something change?
Still can't connect to Sisi. :( |

Edited by: Ami Nia on 05/07/2009 10:06:44 Try going into the "renamed" preferences folder for the client that is supposed to connect to SiSi.
follow the path from there to pDrive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE
There should be either one or two folders there. Names could be c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility (yes, tranquillity is misspelled) and/or c_program_files_ccp_eve_87.237.38.50
If there are two, delete them and start the client so that only one is created. That's the one the client is using. If it's c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility then for some reason it is still trying to connect to TQ.
But you can use an extra trick: go into c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility/settings and open the prefs.ini file with a text editor, then add the following line to it: server=87.237.38.50
it should force the client into connecting to the correct server.
However, you should first make sure that SiSi is up and still running on the same version TQ is. http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/server_status.php

The above is the case. And after deletion of the folder it gets recreated.

The above works, awesome!

Well, just my luck, Sisi is down now that I finally got it connecting to it à
To be continued. |
