Denial will get you nowhere mate. Its just a matter of time till they get to your street. That is if you actually lived in britain which you don't. Also do you know anybody past a terroist who has a gun collection? No? Pity that because if your government wanted they could just post soldiers at the street corners and turn off the lights and you wouldn't be able to do shiat about it. Now with guns being a national passtime here in the states it would be rather hard for our government to do that as a few hundred million angry armed citizens are a rather large thorn to deal with using an all volunteer military to police them.

im not sure you really understand this, but pretty much every western country does not have the power to remove their govenment forcefully, not even American's, i know you like to think you do, but when push comes to shove you would not be able to. But i do have the ability to vote for a large number of different parties with varying views every 4 years for my govenment, where as you have, Republicans and Democratics, oh how democractic!.

Actually that would never happen, because a terriost attack of massive scale would have to of happend to allow a commons majority vote for such a stupid theory, further more the Queen could dissolve parliment straight away and is leader of the armed forces. Ofcourse if you think a weapon is going to keep you save from a military who do what the president tells them to and does so in the 'best interests of your country' thats fine

I know. I'm just baiting our fine friend. I have no problems with britain or its slightly over the top security measures as a 'v' like sort of government takover would be impractical even witout an armed population and frankly the us and un would make sure it didn't happen anyways. Britain as a bonafied police state helps no one on the international scale.

Labour good bad? that depends who you ask, Brown unpopular, ofcourse. Plenty of people in Britian own guns, shotguns etc for hunting, you just need a license for it, the idea of Britian having no citizen owned weapons is absurd

ThatÆs hilarious, especially coming from the people that **** their pants at the mere sight of a gun. IÆll be nice though and have the 10 yo down the street challenge you with his offhand to start.
Now if youÆre talking about your soldiers instead of your own self then no problem, weÆll wait for them to get off the beach.

Cooler then what? Our Spanish accent? Our French accent? Our southern accent? East coast? West coast? Texan drawl? German? Russian? Oriental? Who are you comparing it with in a nation of every culture? Although honestly what you call an accent we generally call incoherent mumbling. Whoa, I wonder if our elderly turn British after a while!
Originally by: Sp3cial 3d * Americans have their oh so old great monuments, most of which my house is older than.
Thanks for letting us know your house is antiquated and not up to code. You must really party it up in there like its 1783.
Originally by: Sp3cial 3d * America as it is wouldnÆt even exist if it werenÆt for Britain.
I believe you mean the US of A. The AmericaÆs would exist regardless as they are large continents in which the mayans, Aztec, IncanÆs, American Indians, and northern tribes had already settled on. But yes, if it werenÆt for BritainÆs cascading failure to keep a handful of colonist at bay we wouldnÆt be as awesome as we are today, thank you for pointing that out.
Originally by: Sp3cial 3d * Britain has a æGreatÆ in front of itÆs name, America doesnÆt.
Yeah thatÆs true, we donÆt have to improvise by putting the word in front of our name because every one already knows how great we are.
Originally by: Gin G another great thing about the british

Nope, youÆre fat AND ugly. UK ranks 2nd in ugliest women, second only to Afghanistan although I believe it is your bar goers who should be wearing the veil. Even on the most beautiful poll the UK ranks in 5th beaten by the US, Sweden, Brazil, and Italy.
Originally by: Sp3cial Ed to be fair, all because your american, it does'nt mean you can change the way a word is spelt, its ALUMINIUM, so if your going to use our language then use it correctly, thank you.
Funny coming from a guy who canÆt even spell his name. And your language? Please, you are a combination of the Angles, Saxons, Franks, Jutes, and Frisians. Oh, so you know, those are western Germanic tribes but donÆt let a little thing like that stop you in your quest to talk about æyourÆ language. But of course as time moves on language evolves and naturally we in the US took a great language and moved it up the next link in the evolutionary chain. DonÆt worry, youÆll catch on eventually in say, 4 generations or so.
Also, has anyone noticed how Aluminum is spelt on firefox
Lol, finally someone has bitten, just the response i was looking for

And how are you supposed to get the guns? Its easy as can be to smuggle in shiploads of black market weapons in a desert country with no real borders. Downtown london with its CCTV network and grid like layout? ROFFLES! You guys are screwed.

Why boast about you yank civilians having all these weapons??
Detroit (1.7million) has more murders every year than the United Kingdom (57 million). Well done on all the murderers and firearms, you must be so so proud of a nation that loves to kill one another.

Thats because detroit is for all intents and purposes an independant city state that has slipped into barbarism. Barring nuking it from orbit or relocating its population then nuking it from orbit there ain't much that can be done. I will be nice and not point out some of the uk's rebel regions.

Now see, that's just so sad to read that seeing how brainwashed, oppressed, or used to the government (terminology may differ per individual)you are.
Let me let you in on a little secret: What is created by man can be undone by man; And governments are man made.
It won't be pretty. It won't be fast. But it is possible. You just keep that in mind there Buckaroo.

Even worse its an island. Exactly how are forein arms dealers supposed to get the good stuff to you in quantitys that will make a differece when the only points of entry will be heavily guarded ports and airports? Landing on a beach at night with the stuff? Riiiight. Any non registared ship will get intercepted either at the landing point or blown out of the water by an interceptor or warship. Remeber this is a police state scenario now with the attendant brutal security measure on all fronts. Jeeze I hope they won't have to rely on you for thier ultimate freedom.
However in the us since we already have a heavily armed population no smuggling will be reqired. The rebellion would be instant and long lasting.

Most of the people on this board are horrible. America is just celebrating its independence much like Canada did the first of this month. Can we not have one mention of America without the rest of the swine on this board showing your true ignorance-based hate-filled colors.

They've already have reached the level of nanny state. Or as I like to call it a ninny state. I did enjoy that last BBC article that I read though where a man did acquire a pistol and it took their police force well over an hour to subdue him as they had to wait for a crew with guns to even show up.
