Because you are not the person who accepted the contract, if you had accepted it you would see the opportunity to complete or fail it. Find the person who originally accepted it and your problem will be solved.

Basically the Gods of Package Delivery were angered in some way by you. I'd suggest putting a puppy* in a cardboard box, taping it shut, and lighting it on fire. As a sacrifice to appease the Gods of Package Delivery.
*A kitten will also do, but they may demand a second kitten to balance things out.

Well, if you successfully moved the package and then filed the petition while it should have still been valid, there should be no issue. Unless the GM is a jerk, in which case all bets are off ;)

thats what my concern is. The GMs are outsourced lazy asses who couldnt care less. If you get a good one, youre in the clear. If you get a bad one whos having a **** day, then you're out of luck.

I've personally never had to ask for an escalation. I honestly don't know why so many people have such a crap time with GM's, i guess its that "Vocal Minority" who do while 98% of players get good responses and just move onto playing the game. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

When this happened to me I just undocked and started off back home. A couple jumps down the line, I opened the contract and it let me turn it in fine. ============================================= "Only the dead have seen the end of war" - Plato

I'm gonna guess they opened their petitions with something along the lines of "You ****ing ******s don't know what the **** you're doing. Get your heads out of your asses while you circle jerk to Brittney Spears and fix my goddamned problem. I pay good ****ing money to play this ****ing game and I'll sue your ****ing ****-sucking ass if you don't ****ing fix my ****wit problem ****ing immediately."
People in the service industry tend not to respond favorably or quickly to such requests. Oh, yeah, and that's the whole of the petition. Notice the lack of details.

Happened to me once. After explaining the situation in a petition and telling the GM all the different things I'd tried, his first response asked me to clear my cache. That fixed the issue and I felt a bit silly for not thinking to try it ^^;.

I strongly advise against burning boxes with kittens inside, it may or may not have significant implications on the survival rate of the kitten.

It has happened to me a bunch of times as well. I just log off and log back in and that normally fixes it. I have never had to file a petition yet.

(I'd recommend escalating the petition, if the contract is stuck all of MD's combined brainpower won't be able to help.)

I will pile on and suggest that I was, one time, completely convinced my contract was broken, and after about 100 tries I realised I'd delivered the goods to the wrong station in the system.
So... check for PEBKAC issues.

I can't see any user issues here unless I'm missing something.... Wait a second WHY IS this thread here anyway?
This is the second time recently the GMs have pushed a thread that is hardly related to MD, into MD... What the hell is going on...
I can see it now, GM's sitting around in on theater recliners playing something else that is not EVE, they get a report from some whiner in General of a thread. Someone yells out "WATCH OUT DUDE/DUDETTE I'M ABOUT TO KILL YOU ON HALO!" and the GM quickly pushes it to MD, thinking to themselves, "I'll just leave it here, those nerds and geeks in MD will solve the issue then I'll move it later".

I've experienced this before. I assumed there was some undocumented timer that it had to wait a period of time, but as I recall always less than an hour.
From your screen shot, this appears to be a "complete in 1 day" contract; you appear to be in the correct station but it had been less than an hour.

I tried this with a puppy and with a kitten and there was no difference in the survival rate. Confirming that a kitten works and if one kitten works- two must work twice as much.
