Yea, I know it's an odd question, but it's one of those little game systems that adds some charm to the world. The only games I know of that have Cooking though are Ultima Online, World of Warcraft, and A Tale in the Desert.
Are there any others? And if so, are they fun to play around with? __________________________

Free Realms has, in my opinion, THE most entertaining and involving cooking system in any MMO. It also has destruction derby, a real CCG and a bunch of other stuff.

On another note, how entertaining is that game?

VERY entertaining which took me by surprise. It looks so cartoonish and childish, but the game is genuinely fun. Tons of little mini games everywhere. I highly recommend signing up for a free account and checking it out.
As for pay membership... well, you're not missing out on much as a free member Most of the stuff in the micro transaction store is unappealing crap. Same with paying membership classes too.
I think they're still adding things to the store, but at the moment it's not worth spending real money for that junk. Still though, the base gameplay is fun. ______________ Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn. |

Planetside has cooking in it. Of course that kind of "cooking" involves the use of a Flamethrower and the only ingredient is human flesh. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

I was going say it has cooking in it ... cooking the Plasmas nades to throw down at the feet of a cloaker, nothing better than watching a stealthy burning

Dude, NDA. (Still waiting for a fix to 5-10FPS & constant freezes. They somehow screwed up the graphics in some early patch, before that it was running just fine.)
On topic, Lord of the Rings Online has cooking.

From what I read Aion is about two Realms with a Free for all PvP Zone in the Middle. Aside from the Wings-Thing the Character, Level and Class System seems nothing special.
Or did I miss something and the Game is indeed worthwile?

I'm currently beta testing it for the site I write for, and that's nearly spot on.

Which part, the 'nothing special' part or the 'worthwhile' part
The GFX look good and the game sounds like one of the more promising upcoming MMO. I'm not sure why the fuss about flight though, it's not like you can't already do just that in several other games. -------------

LOTRO has cooking, and their tradeskill system is fun and pretty simple at the same time. They an interesting take on how as a member of an npc tradeskill guild you get access to special recipes that have long cooldowns to avoid market overflow, and the latest patch (couple of days ago) revamped most tradeskill items, including Cooking, wich you can do on regular camps in the wilderness or in ovens. Curiously, the food that gives you AGILITY ingame is the greasiest one, like pork sausages deep fried in butter
Eq1/Eq2 have specially dedicated lines/quests for crafters, I used to be a GrandMaster Brewer/Baker in EQ1 and a Top End Provisioner in Eq2,
In EQ2 they added a set of very original and interesting Tradeskill quests that were supposed to be done by groups! Plus tradeskiller only items/sets of armor. The group tradeskill quests were fun if you had a nice group of tradeskillers with you. Fun seeing people sewing, sawing, smelting, boiling and cooking stuff all over to build a ship from nothing, each phase you would see the ship more finished, starting from the planks and then seeing the skeletal hull up to the seaworthy vessel
Yeah, I love cooking in games too lol, then again I love to cook RL :D

Yup, EQ2 has the most awesome tradeskill system of any game I have played. I remember spending about 6 hours trying to balance rugs on the suspended beams of one of my chars houses (I had 7 5 room houses, all with different themes), to make a suspended ceiling you could walk on.
LOTRO also has a great crafting system, but that game lacked a hook for me.
Vanguard has a good crafting system too, but no cooking iirc.
EQ2 had the explosive crafting stations that could kill you too, although sadly they got nerfed, now they just dmg you a bit.
