I entered today in the Caldari Collossus Race and...

Now, although i wasn't informed in advance i was in the race, i picked my only frigate at my hangar, fitted it with the modules i had avaiable and in only 5 minuts i was ready for a race which i knew was impossible to win.
In middle way my ship was destroyed and i was podded, 100M in implants lost and 5M from my Elite grade A++++ clone.
Is this a whining post? Is this a quiting post? Are your bets there?

I'm here just to say this is just a game. Perhaps im not happy about this heavy loss, but **** happens.
Would i do it again? HELL YES! Even if i only had 1 minute to get onboard and fit.
If you accept your losses (even if heavy) as enjoyable ingame adventures to tell others, you will get alot more of this extraordinary game.
Don't whine, don't quit because of it, just PLAY.
PS: Any contributions are welcome to replace my full set of +3 implants

Glad to hear you took the loss good, sounds a lot like me when I lost my tempest and it was unisured, and i had almost 0 cahs in the bank lol.

Im confused , as usual but you didn't know you were in the race until minutes before the race? hows that..
racing through 0.0 in a kestral,with a 100 mil in implants? Knowing there will be blockades and most likely you would die.

Hey Aelius, it's easy for the rich guys in this game to tell everyone else not to whine about death...
I was pod killed for the very first time in this game yesterday, in my very first PvP action, only lost a Rifter, but also 3 implants. (I've been playing since beta)
I was having fun, until I realized when I went to buy a clone that I did not have the required isk  
I have to find a way to be able to afford PvP... It is fun, but I'm at a loss on how you can live that way in this game, especially as a part time player

Even though the race is only announced 5 minutes communincations in an alliance channel are instantious usually easy enough to contact someone and tell them to sit on a gate on the route... surprise them warp in at 20 and mwd past the smartbombs.(if your fast enough to time between blasts) or out at 30 and double mwd around them.

You can still do PVP and be a part time player, the trick is to not use something you can't replace (ie: implants, BS, etc). The only thing really REALLY important is to have a "good enough" clone so you don't lose SP. If you come to a situation where you cannot afford a new clone you have 2 choises, ask isk to a friend or play with the an alt to get some money for it.
PS: I accept +3 implant donations or special price on them (isk will also do)
