Hi
so i recently started playing even and i am just traning to fit my drake for some pvp think i got that sorted. But my friend decided to play and wants to tag along for some action but doesnt want to have to wait 2 months to be able to fly something big and wants in on the action straight away.
I was just curious what ship i could get him to train for that might help out in pvp but is quick and easy and fun for him or he will probably get bored waiting for something and ill be left with a usless account on my hands lol.
so any sort of tackler or i dont know what im a noob at pvp just something quick, easy, fun and helpful is probably the main thing.
thanks |

flying something big when you first start out is a great way to bankrupt yourself fast. If he wants to tag along best thing is to take a frig as privious post said, and just learn the art of tackling. Doesn't have to be a rifter, can also be an incurses/tristan, merlin/kestral, punisher/executioner.
Train up propulsion jamming, and get him working toward an MWD and your set for a frig tackler buddy. You should be able to use ship + disruptor within a day a couple more days for an MWD if that. Not exactly sure on skill training times because I havn't started a new charecter recently.

Few things; if you're new yourself you shouldn't use BC's to PVP with, you don't have the SP, experience and income to make that work. Income can ofcourse be 'sorted' but still, low SP+no experience = lots of shipslosses regardless of the size, cost or fitting. Get experience in smaller ships.
Flying "big ships" isn't going to happen soon, the only ship that's somewhat doable on low(ish) SP is a dominix but drones have downsides when it comes to PVP, although they're very good. Personally I wouldn't jump into cruisers with less than 3-4 mil focussed SP, BC's till you have BC at 4 and BS's don't work without a ton of supportskills, so you need around 10-12 mil SP and upwards to start making them decent.
If he wants to pewpew then a Rifter is a decent idea but if he wants to be USEFUL put him in a Blackbird with ECM, takes little to no training and it very very powerful in it's own way.

Or a Griffin, although it's paper thin and will DAI if the enemy is smart enough to launch his drones on it before it jams.
