did the rent double for all npc stations or just some of them? logged on today and going through my bills i noticed my rent went up from the 3.5m that i opened the office with to 7m. then checked a few other offices in the area and also seem that they went up x2. anyone know if this is a random inflation or something that happens in certain intervals and why ccp raising our rent. don't they have enough isk

That's like asking if someone can have enough water. Obviously no, well unless they are drowning, but then they have more important things to worry about then water. Actually I guess technically they are still worried about water, but in a different way, much the way you worry about fire when it is climbing your walls and walking across the ceiling, which coincidently is also true of cats because cats should not walk on the ceiling. It is a sign of demonic possession, which is rather redundant with cats but still.
The point is, no they do not have enough ISK.

When no office slots are free, taxes go up, by x% a day if I'm not mistaking. When one office slot is free, no fees change. When two or more office slots are free, the fees go down by x% a day. How high "x%" is, I'm not sure... 3% if I recall correctly, might be more, might be less.

that would be logical and I was thinking the same thing without even knowing. except the offices in question have open space 2 or more available. ccp kinda got me by the balls as I have pos' in said systems. i have come to realize with ccp. if it's not one thing it's another. perhaps i'll just say fu*k it and take them down and let all my accounts go dormant. wonder if it's possible to form a players union and go on strike till they get their sh*t together.

Just because there are 2+ open now doesn't me they were open a couple of days ago. They could have filled up right after your last bill and not had any open up until recently in which case the rent would have gone up daily for every day they were filled then had 2 vacated and you wouldn't have not known how much the rent increased until your new bill. In an active system the rents can make dramatic increases/decreases in the 30day between bills.

ok, so i found the dev blog on it http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=169 but really don't think it applies in this case. seriously there have been open offices 2 or more and the cost of rent has substantially increased with those open spaces.

Arent rent fees also based upon your corp's standings with the npc corp owning the station? Absolutely everything is subjective. |

Guess what? Someone has found recently that th cost was too high and unrented a office. You need to wait for a lot of time for the price to decrease.

Does anyone know what the rent on an office in Jita 4-4 is? I'm curious.

I was not charged rent on an office for around four years, I didn't even realise it until the demands came through - fortunately not backdated.
I was wondering if something had changed in the mechanics in the past 3 or 4 months regarding office rents.

I think it was in the ballpark of 1 billion...or at least fairly close to that.
