I like most of the change however, two things need to be implemented for the unified inventory to make some poeple happy.
It works for the most case, but operations when you want more then one window, like mining, can be hell. You need to be able to SHIFTCLICK+click open container, or open ship hanger, etc to open it like it would be if you shift clicked it in the unified inventory.
So it would be similar to how it was in terms of separate windows by holding down the shift key. SHIFT+CARGO bay for example would open up a separate window for example. rather then having to open up the unified inventory and then opening up the separate window.
Second one. filtering most garbage from the unified inventory. like GUNS should NOT be there and should open up there own separate window I feel or be per-filtered by default. It's such a HUGE pain to see 40-60 guns in my unified inventory list, it makes the list such a pain to scroll around in and you pretty much screw over the simplicity you were aiming for by having all this junk in the list. |

who the h thought it was a great idea not to be able to have ships cargo hold seperate from the unified items tab while docked. Now I have even more clicks. shift click bs. took me 5 minutes to get get and item into my cargo hold unreal! |

This pll where created this have maybe 2 ships and 2 items inside his poor Hangar but dont manage a whole corp. I need the whole corp hangar open and my Hangar and . . and . . and . . . more clicks ,ywah.
The only click what i'll do is to click the leave Button on this CRAP,i'll fly spaceships and dont manage a bugged CRAP window ffs !!! |

Is this the feedback or the issues thread? Because I'm confused. At any rate, I agree with the sentiment of a lot of the posts in this thread; the new unified inventory seems to be a step back in user friendlyness. That said, I havn't had the chance to play around with it a lot, but I do feel that it takes up a lot of "screen real-estate". Also, with the old system, I could have my cargohold in the minimum-sized window and see three mods (with the big grid-view) - no problem. Now there's a scrollbar, further decreasing the space. (I have yet to log in my trader, mainly because I'm scared to do so)
Anyways, I'd love to post a long-winded post about this new system and how I feel etc., but I'd just be reiterating the same things that are listed in most (all?) other complaints w.r.t. this.
So, looking away from that, the patch went smooth for me (win7, 64bit, derp) - no problems with the launcher of any kind (although the option to download client upgrades should be in the launcher, shouldn't it?). The new missile effects look awesome. I have yet to play around with the new war stuff, but the devblogs on the subject look very promising.
Hm, I almost posted this in the issues thread by accident. :S
PS. I heard there were some people having "trouble" with blueprint-images being different from the manufactured item-images (presumably because of some model changes?). Should I tell 'em to clear their cache? |

so i decided to bring the orca out of mothballs for a run around the station... To see how the new inventory will affect our mining ops once goonswarm is done griefing..
It's nice to be able to break out the one division of the corp hangar i want, and the ore and main hold ofc. Good to see i can stack them as usual.. However, the titles are way too long to be useful: "William Gratis (active ship) (Orca) > Ore Hold" gets truncated to "William Grat".

Since I've posted feedback for the inventory system, it's time to switch to more positive stuff.
- Drone improvement modules are a good idea. It will certainly make some interesting new fits. - Kill reports are FANTASTIC. The feature definitely has a space to grow. Great job! - Wardec interface is pretty good. Wardec system too, except it needs some changes in order to function properly (a 100 mil ISK corporation creation fee, most notably)
I really have to check out the rest of the changes (it's going to be slow, since it's only Tuesday night and I have 3 more working days this week), but I think that, judging from all the previous dev blogs, all other changes are mainly very positive.

My inventory is not there but my assets tell me i have 96 items located there plus a bunch of ships, after canceling a couple contracts those items did show but still missing everything else. |

The UI changes look nice, but for general functionality, they SUCK!
Why should I have to scroll through over a hundred items to drag something from my cargohold to a container, CHA, SMA or other storage area that happens to be at the BOTTOM of the list?
Suggestions:
> Allow for UI items be turned off from displaying in the top-level list. > Make the salvaging windows auto-disappear again.
Lots of other good suggestions on how the UI should have been implement.

I know there's a bit of a frustration with the new Inventory.
Please @ Devs, listen to me for a moment.
Two simple things you can do to make this easier :
#1 - Create locations for us to click on that represent the locations we want to short cut to right away and allow us to bookmark those on the menu. The issue is there isn't really a good way to get to certain places quickly, and to open the folder view and then navigate around is what is frustrating people the most. Let me bookmark specific places, not just ships and hangars, and you add functionality AND customization.
#2 - A back and forwards button would really help this. As well as a recent places list, so you can just drag to where you were and have been recently and quickly, since often you are interacting between two windows. Some of us have a lot of ships, containers, etc.
This is a personal issue.
When you double click on a ship, you board it. I would rather it did what everything else does, and open the cargo bay. It is very frustrating to open a ship to get into it and you end up boarding it. It breaks the expected usage of the rest of everything else you double click in the inventory space.

Oh this is awful...just awful. So many others have very nicely articulated the issues...but PLEASE, fix asset management by putting it back to pre-inferno. O. M. G. not only is the interface awful, but...slow...oh so slow. Why does inventory management have to be this complicated? I thought the goal was to ease introducing noobs, not induce schizophrenia.
If you're going to spend this much time and energy reworking something, can you please consider focusing on what is clearly a hopelessly broken and confusing interface: corp permissions. For instance, per-array/division permissions would make POS life far more tolerable.

I too, hate the new inventory system. The reasons are covered about 100 times already in the thread, but basically it's not intuitive enough. Why not have this as an additional tool to search assets rather than force what was a pretty nice mechanic into what is a really annoying mechanic?
I get the feeling whoever planned this does not play eve. What games is it like? I've never seen a system like this before. New isn't always good, if it is something that's never been done before. Thorn Alliance:-á The worst alliance you ever heard of.

CCP: Many folks are coming aboard on this request. By the weekend I predict you'll be hearing uncomplimentary things from legions of POS owners and in particular those living in w-space. Gonna keep this system, CCP? If so, be nice and put another Opt-Out button next to Captain's Quarters for this 'improvement' to inventory management.

Try using the UI from a POS or any other place with a LARGE number of items to 'choose' from and you'll quickly be extremely disappointed. HROLT CEO Live Free; Die Proud

It's probably been said a considerable amount of times already but... why the hell did you stuff up a system that was already working well? I have to search for everything in WH and open every single thing to make sure I get the right one.. , I cannot open multiple windows to drag and drop quickly, I cannot split the cargobay window from the loot window (not to mention that I DON'T NEED to see what the hell is in station. There was already a search function in the 'Assets' menu which was more than adequate to the task .. WTF? Comeon CCP! who in the hell said this 'intuitive UI' was a good idea? |

When I am in my POS I have dozens of entries in my inventory tree to scroll through because every POS battery shows in there.
When I am in station and want to manage my Orca, I have seven rows of inventory index for the corp hangar of the Orca alone.
Just two examples for how the new system makes life less easy and more confusing and messed up. Not to mention that windows for cargo or wrecks are now burdened with all this new overhead.
I ask the dev who created this system to use a properly configured POS (i.e. one with at least a few dozen modules). Then run a site and loot some wrecks. And then come back and tell us what you think of the new system.
Then of course there is the annoying bug that offline players do not disappear from channels, but that'll probably be fixed very soon. Winner of elections banned, runner-up demoted by rest of the body, the council controlled by the losers. CSM 7 is illegitimate, CCP should remember when dealing with them. Remember what players voted for. |

They look like something that has been retired for 20 years and rusting away in a junkyard. They are not proud ships that would be flown today in fleet battles. I can't believe someone in the art department saw this and thought it was better than the older versions.

Get rid of this inventory monstrosity! Who ever thought this would be good needs to be fired! I have seen some bad things from you guys before with patches but this is the first time I felt the need to scream about it at the top of my lungs. Give me back my old hangers and leave it alone!! This is something that will make me seriously leave eve because of how bad this is. I have played almost 7 years and this is the first time I have considered leaving due to a patch. |
