Originally by: Darius Brinn I use this tank in my mission running Domi, what do you think:
-1 LAR II. -4 specific hardeners (2 and 2). -2 EANM II.
In the middles I'd use at the very least an Omnidirectional Tracking Link, and in the Highs, a Drone Link Augmentor.
Comments on that tank? I trained the Armor compensations, to EANM IIs make sense, right?
Over tanked and here is why if you drop 1 eanm and swap the other to a pulsed lar you are fine in almost all missions, that uses 6 lows instead of 7... I rather use 6 lows and provide a cap mod or a mag stab. The bonus you will get from the eanm is not that high on the rat spec due to stacking, better off with a DCII instead. I guess at least swap the eanmII for a DCII. I guess in theory the higher resists of 2x eanm would open a mid slot that has a cap recharger in it making less of a cap draw on the tank, I would need to play in EFT on this.
If I recall correctly, before fitting the second EANMII I checked EFT to see if a DCUII would be better, and it was not. Apparently, a second EANMII is better for running missions even with the stacking penalty.
And even better with armor compensations at IV.
I don't know if it's overtanked, but I HAD to warp out in Lvl 4 Recon. Mostly because I had very, very low DPS and thus I was not reducing incoming DPS fast enough (read: at all), but I'm working on that (7 days till T2 sentries, then it's Gallente Battleship to IV). http://www.geocities.com/vagrantweapons/db.jpg |

BS V is a pretty good idea as is Drone Interfacing.

I already have Drone Interfacing V (got it trained for free when I let my account die a year ago). Gallente Battleship V will mean more than a month for me, so I am going to train it during my work-related travels, and eventually get there.
In the meantime, that month (or more) can be better employed in support stuff (navigation, perfecting cap and fitting skills), or to finally start doing something about my whooping 26.000 total sp in Gunnery skills. http://www.geocities.com/vagrantweapons/db.jpg |

Originally by: Zhilia Mann While there are tons of ways to fit a Domi, there are really only two decent ways in PvE:
- Turtle tank and use heavies and more of less afk the thing
- Fit a full rack of rails on top and at least two -- if not three -- omnis in the mids and use sentries
Otherwise, You're Doing It Wrong.
QFT. there are some god-awful fits so far in this thread...
here's one that doesn't suck. dual LAR is overkill. I'd rather kill stuff faster.

apparently there are people in EVE who don't have level 5 everything, T/F? and BTW, OTLs *are* damage mods on a sentry domi.

Good cap skills are mandatory for any ship. One would assume if you can fit t2 rails you have at least 5/4 cap skills.

I hear the sentiment and kinda thought the same way. Then I got Gal BS 5. It was worth every minute.
Now, granted, it would be even more worth it if I had T2 large hybrids, but if you think BS 5 takes awhile....
