Deal! I can use someone to loot/salvage for me while I`m doing my carebaring and I can afford to spend ~350mil ISK a month for it npnp :). Send me PM for details.
Ah, but i don't do it when you want
I just spend the time online doing stuff you might want

The egocentrics uber PVPers could afford to lose their last ships because would mean get down to basics of roid mining (or PVE) on their chairs for hours

It isn't the building that would cease if everywhere were lo/nulsec. It's the mining. Where does all that lovely Tritanium come from? Carebears in hisec. Mining isn't a thing you can do with an hour a day online, like Industry is. Even if all the carebears stayed, you'd halve the number of actual miners cos they'd all need guards, so the amount of Veldspar hoovered up would halve. But in reality, people who aren't interested in non-consensual PvP (but tolerate the low chances of it happening in hisec because they know they can have some control over it at least) would quit, leaving CCP with 1/3 the revenue base, and the industry of New Eden crippled by a scarcity of basic minerals.

Industrial skills do not a carebear make.
Nice to see the forum havn't changed a bit in the year I've been gone On topic, if you do industry on your main, I would not call it carebearing, but if you use an alt, it's carebearing for sure.
I'm a carebear because I like it that way. I do my thing where ever i might be (which is usually high sec ).

Define carebear.

PLEASE do not post like that again! I was sitting in a restaurant eating lunch when I read that. Food flew out of my mouth and everyone stared as I choked/laughed.
To me: Carebear=avoids PvP at all costs. Plays game as if it is single player/offline. (Trading/manufacturing characters are engaging in economic PvP)

Truly open PvP with asset destruction is a failed business model.
It was tried in Shadowbane, and failed to hold subscriptions as it seems that when most people, even selfstyled PvP'rs lose months of ingame assets, they quit.

Thats pretty easy. In the most general sense 'carebear' means someone who doesn't want to engage in PvP. Intended as an insult, it is used when someone angers of frustrates a person looking for kills. It is used most when one or both of the parties refuse to engage the other.

Given that definition, EvE would do just fine without them for a day, or any number of days.

As soon as there are no more carebears around the gankbears will leave because those hapless industrial players are suddenly fighting back and pwning their asses. -------- Ideas for: Mining

A day without carebears will mean alot of you who claim to be PVP ers will have along boring day, with nothing todo.
let me make my point .. I am talking about the people who think can flipping in the hope the carebear tries to take his can back ,or the people who think smartbombing miningbarges and exhumers is PVP ,this is just lame it is not even PVP , they just too afraid to lose their precious new and expensive ship
Second point . I would not be far of when i say that between 2/3 and 3/4 of all mining and industry is being done by carebears, you probably will not notice after one day or even a week but after that the economy will come to a standstill, prices of ships , ammo, modules and minerals will skyrocket.
third point all those players who specialize in ninja salvaging and suicide ganking haulers , they will be unemployed. Are you going to pay for their loss of income ?
So be glad there are carebears who else are you going to make his or her EVElife miserable???

I shed a carebear tear every time an angsty PvPer has a cry about people that don't play the game their way.
No, really. And I'm all out of tissues, too.

No evidence needed. This is pure economics, if demand is high and production is low prices go up and vice versa.remeber last year when the price of oil skyrocketed ?? same principle

I don't think anyone can really say what would happen.
But my guess would be that 1. Prices for certain ships and modules would increase. 2. Prices for LP store items would go up even more. 3. Highsec would be pretty deserted. 4. Incredibly whining from those people who don't do "real" pvp but rather wardec/grief carebears would ensue. 5. I would actually enjoy all this. Mostly because i would be filthy rich. Like, even more.
I still don't get all the anger. Let the carebears play their boring solo player mission running highsec eve and everyone else just enjoy the game the way they like it. Where's the problem?

Most 0.0 spaceholding alliances are made up out of carebears. That's why they nap so much.
For the rest you are right.
Also my alt is a carebear.

Nope, he doesnt.
All leet pvp industry alts would be nerfed too as they arent pvp'ing, and thus are carebears (not pvping, by definition).
So there would be NO ships left.

Not quite. The leet pvp industry alt would be an industrialist and would thus pvp, so it wouldn't be a carebear. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |
