Problem: After playing Eve for about 5 minutes (from cold boot) the machine will cease to respond then produce a BSOD a short while later.
A reboot will see Eve start running fine but then an hour or so later it will freeze then BSOD.
More info: Latest Graphics driver from HP loaded. (Aug 08) Intel advertise a later driver (Jan 09) which will not load.
Heat monitor software loaded and tested. Heat not consistent at time of crash.
Does anyone else have the same issue with an XP based X3100 laptop?

I've had exactly the same problem with the same laptop. I spent 6 weeks trying to fix it having checked memory ect. The only thing different I noticed is that it almost always happens in stations to me.
Anyhow - in the end I had to borrow an old computer from work and play on that - hp were decidedly unhelpful and every tech forum/person ends up drawing a blank.
