every year and this year especially, we see a lot of alliance names not many people know (no dis-respect here) so how about teams introduce themselves here and say a little about their alliance so people have an idea who they are.
lets try not to flame this post eh
i will go first
strip mining alliance was formed during the delve war 2 by warped mining. primarily a pvp based alliance we have gradually grown since last September to our current state. our pilots are pretty warped and do honestly strip on ts whenever we let them loose.
we were a part of gbc and still hold many who we flew with in high regard. our players are confident of putting on a good show and progressing to final rounds.

Dystopia Alliance is a small empire dwelling group of griefers My team consists of GH-SC and some other friends of mine, basically the same core group that competed in all 6 previous tournaments on behalf of various alliances (THE R0CK once, IAC a few times, Otherworld Empire Productions..)
You can read about gh-sc here; Linkage
We have lots of ISK and most of us are over 100 mil SP, we've finished 3rd twice in the past (1st and 2nd tournament) all of our losses have basically been due to bad calls on my part either on the field or in the setup phase We take the tournament quite seriously (signed two alliances up this time to make sure we'd get in) but usually we're too lazy to practise I also tend to gamble way too much ISK on us to win, so i totally reccommend betting against me. (easy money if the past is any indicator!)

Edited by: EOH AdmiralDovolski on 22/07/2009 23:32:17 Isk Six is Selene D'celeste personal alliance, and because of my constant badgering was entered into AT7. our team will mostly be bankers from Eve online Hold'em (eve's #1 poker service!).
were are all well enough off that we can get some nice setups, and although we have varying amounts of skill points, each banker is from a different background, leading to a very politically diverse team.
also, we play poker. lots of it.

Laconian Syndicate is an Alliance holding the semi notorious pirate corp Neo Spartans.
Due to unforseen budget issues and staffing problems the current Alliance constituents are likely unable to field a decent team this year, so we are opening up our Alliance to the highest bidder.

Hey hey Havoc here. We were in the last alliance tourney and finished in top 16. We used the FIX alliance for the tourney last year. The person that had control of FIX fell ill in RL and we lost control of FIX. So one of our members created the Havoc alliance so we could compete again. We hope to do better this year and just want to show our stuff. |

Hello We're No Trademark. We've competed in the last 3 tournaments as The OSS (4th) and as Notoriety Alliance (5th & 6th). We also entered twice and (lulz) both of our alliances got picked, so uh... We'll probably compete under Notoriety Alliance and sell the other slot to anyone except Morsus Mihi.

We are Veni Vidi Vici (V3) alliance, we started up in syndicate (where else) fighting out there for about 8 months before moving out to geminate to fight with UFA (dont look at me that way, I just follow orders, not make em).
After UFA got kicked out (and us along with em) we have relocated to the Forge region on the border with Gem, were we have been harassing the 0.0 sov holders ever since with mostly 0.0 roams (its really close, and we prefer 0.0 combat to the station hugging of low sec).
We competed in ATIV making it into the 3rd round (Top 32) before going down to the Fith Freedom (I think). We had good times and are looking forward to good fights in the next tourney and whilst we may struggle in the isk department, we hope to throw a few spanners into the works for our opposition.
Looking forward to fight PL in our first round, because personally as PVPers they are one of the few large sov holding alliances who I still respect |

The swarm has gotten into semantics, run!
Nebula Rasa is last reserve and will not be seen in the upcoming feature. I would just for the sake of griefing a goon like to state we're not an alliance, we're not even a corporation as such but a cult which blatantly abuse the alliance mechanics for benefits. We do operate a number of divisions but at the end of the day we're all Rasa.

Edited by: Hamish Grayson on 25/07/2009 05:01:46 The Fourth District is a Caldari roleplaying alliance established by the Caldari Independent Navy Reserve whose CEO traditionally remains****cutor of the Alliance. Currently, the alliance has been suspended while its member corporations have joined the Caldari militia during factional warfare.
Member corporations include:
Caldari Independent Navy Reserve COLD-Wing Copperhead Arsenal Copperhead Arms Allied Investments and Holdings LLC
Fifth Alliance Tournament
The Fourth District participated in the Fifth Alliance Tournament, coming in second in its group after only suffering a single loss, to eventual tournament runners-up Triumvirate. They were defeated in the first elimination round by Ev0ke, who went on to defeat Triumvirate. and take the championship
Sixth Alliance Tournament
The Fourth District was reactivated for several weeks during the Sixth Alliance Tournament in late January and early February of 111. Though placed 8th after a victory over Veni Vidi Vici in the first round, a hard-fought loss to eventual tournament champions Pandemic Legion in the second round dropped them to 23rd place.
This set the alliance for a battle against Ev0ke, the same team which knocked them out of the previous tournment. In one of the most exciting battles of the last weekend, Ev0ke managed to defeat the the Fourth District with the loss of all but one of its ships, knocking 4TH out of the tournament. Despite the loss, 4TH was extremely satisfied with the placement, losing only to the tournament winners and a semifinalist.

Since Hamish posted about 5th and 6th and I think he wasn't a part of our corp for the Fourth, We also fought under the Aunni Ti Tsuun Consortium flag during the Fourth Alliance Tournament.
We didn't go to playoffs this time after having been beaten soundly by Morsus Mihi in our first match (thought they'd bring megas =() and losing a very close fight (down to last ship and lost due to boundary transgression) against IAC. Won two fights against alliances I can't remember now, but think one of them was Hydra (lol)

In Tea We Trust, its more than just a name, it's our guiding philosophy, this will be my first Alliance Tournament and you can be damn sure that i'll probably be keeping the kettle close and the pot hot.
Firetech is the main corp in the alliance and will probably be doing most of that horrid PVP stuff, again for most its about showing that a team can have fun spending little or no iskies and just go and shoot at people.
Our key aim in the game and competition is to just have a laugh while using our wealth of guerilla tea tactics to our advantage. If you need to know mor, we are recruiting lol... tourney experience is a plus :)

Indecisive Certainty, is the brain child of a successful merc corp, Morbid Obssesion. Original one of the joint leading corps in Borg. Weve been inactive for the last 6 months, with our members off fighting in the bob war, as members of varrious entities.
I am however proud to say we have regainned all 100% of our original membership, as well as that weve regained alot of new friends and some old ones from the mercinary bussines. Indecisive Certainty is a very agressive pvp alliance funded on a highly effceint industrial core.
More intressted in having fun than killboard stats. Indecisive Certainty hopes to have some serrious fun in the up coming Alliance tournament.
Not that we don't have pretty good stats

Edited by: Johann Jeneau on 27/07/2009 10:22:09 We are a fail corp made of old guys (IRL) and that usually watches the final blow from the inside of the alliances they join, most of us dont login and when they do is to change ships or get some manlove on chat/ts.
Apparently we made some sort of deal with Sub Rosa alliance to join them just to participate in the alliance tourny, pre-selection deal so no isk isk here, actually we dont even have the isk to fit most ships so that's why we "pvp" in fountain with half fitted ships, by pvp i mean run away or gank ratters, usually the former, some guys also loose rating ships but thats rare because we dont play much.
We will try to keep the trend so i'm expecting the ending of this alliance right after the first match of the tourny, or even during that match!!!
Our experience in previous tourny is some guy in minmatard militia last year and me in some tourny (V maybe???) with eternalrising when i was homesick in a friday afternoon (i was actually just avoiding work) i had to get on the team because we didnt have enough :) , it was a very exciting match (not) we did some RR heavy dampening with mainly myrmidons, they did the same with shield reping wich ended up in some yawn until the end of the fight, thanks to ccp for chaging the rules by the way.
Sadly i wont be there to help our guys because as i will be on vacation in brazil :P (i know, tuff stuff) but i have fully confidence in our huge capabilities of doing some really stupid tactic that will caught Brick Squad by surprise, we know alot of ppl in Brick and i know they were hoping to loose right away but i dont think even they can pull that off!
I probably shouldn't post this but i'm bored at work and i'm sure this is the best you get as an intro from us (it might be not totally accurate blablabla and let me copy this **** before i try to post...just incase)

It's nice to hear from a variety of different alliances.
I'm from Ethereal Dawn. For those that may not know, we used to hold sov in Etherium Reach, in the drone regions, until a month ago when our 4 month war against Red Alliance was concluded. We withdrew from the area to NPC 0.0, shortly after RA pulled out to re-group and xDeath reset us, joined by Goons and PL in a second conflict.
We learnt a lot throughout the war and there were plenty of good fights - RA were an excellent opposition to have and brought well-disciplined fleets. Also props to Majesta, Initiative and WI for plenty of GFs.
As for previous tournament experience: we participated for the 1st time in AT5, won our first two matches but failed to qualify.
We signed up for AT6 but due to the rapid sign-up process, we missed out.
Anyway, i hope you all enjoy the tournament this year. And for those of you new this time round, the experience is second-to-none in EVE. So make the most of it!

Agony Empire is a 250 person 0.0 PvP alliance consisting of 1 corp, Agony Unleashed. We prefer to avoid the politics, blues, and POS warfare that tends to go along with 0.0, instead we focus on roaming gang tactics and blowing up whatever we can find. We're probably best known for our PvP University which has educated thousands of new and old players alike on PvP. We participated in both AT4 and AT6. AT4 we unfortunately did not make it past the qualifying rounds, finishing third in our group behind the eventual tournament winners and quarterfinalist. In AT6 we did better and finished as the smallest alliance in the final 8.
We're looking forward to doing well in AT7 as well.

Hello. My excuse for ignoring the forum is one that I hope is commonplace: Eve is such an excellent game that reading a forum about the game is like reading about eating food. But since I'm at work and they reason that playing Eve is "unproductive" and "not helping the bottom line" I figure that reading about the game, for the moment, is the best alternative.
Anyway, as my friend Auliax mentioned above, Pod Liberation Authority focuses on freeing all the poor trapped pods that exist in Eve. We heard that there is a tournament in which, to our amazement, people actually put their pods into ships. We intend on fixing that serious issue. One day soon, everyone will fly pods and there will be peace.
As for our meager fleets, we are small and poor and therefore we should be overlooked and ignored. According to frequent smack talk in various local channels, we can only kill a target when we (in our corp of about 10 active players, give or take) do the blobby blob thing. Those kids in local love to spell words with numbers that, at my advanced age, vex me so maybe some here can help. They call us n00bs (man, those zeros really throw me off), l0zers, and claim uber pwnage whatever that is.
So there is our profile. Remember, ships are for looking at not flying. (Seriously, did anyone ever consider that Eve is basically a game of dolls for guys? E.g., dressing, undressing, moving, changing, etc.)
