We would like to congratulate the aggressors for their quick and decisive destruction of our towers. We would however recommend removing scorched earth from your breasts before they manage to suck you dry. As it is you're going to need a salve for the bruising. I'm happy to fight you guys for our right to exist, it makes the game fun and pewpew is always welcome, but I'm not going to lead the troops into taking on -A- and ATLAS. No discrepancy there at all, no deep seated conspiracy theory, no news, and no relation to smacking BRYN. There's a marked difference between an alliance mail telling people to defend a tower and a call to allies asking for standby "batphone" support. Besides, in all honesty, I had a bit of a chuckle when I saw that alliance mail myself. :)
