Iceland Beckons... Are You Brave Enough to Heed the Call?
Fanfest returns to the epic Laugardalsh÷ll Convention Center, October 1 - 3. Last year flights to Iceland sold out so book your flight and Fanfest ticket as soon as possible. Browse around our new Fanfest site and check out some of the latest information regarding travel, events, promotions and what's in store for our guests at the Sixth Annual EVE Fanfest and Party at the Top of the World.
Going to Fanfest will never be as cost effective as 2009!
Due to the financial crisis we locals call ôKreppa,ô the Icelandic currency (ISK) works in your favor. Your money goes farther, buys more and keeps you partying all weekend even on the most frugal of budgets. This might be your only chance to experience Fanfest in all it's glory in exotic Iceland for less money and like never before!
Weæll see you soonÖ in Reykjavik. Fly safe!

I can see a lot of players are coming year after year to Fanfest and some, like LuCiD, have attended all six of them! Yes, Fanfest is just that amazing!
For those dedicated attendees and everyone else for that matter we have some new and exciting content this year:
- We have an extensive Caldari theme for Fanfest this year based on the decisions of Fanfest 2008 Live Agent Missions winners.
- PvP TournamentS!: Yes, you heard me! Tournaments in plural! Aside from the all new pimped up EVE¦ Tech3 PvP Tournament we are hosting a free for all, Royal Rumble, on Thursday to get an explosive start to Fanfest! Pre-registrations are open!
- We are planning on an all new event that takes place on the Friday night, Pub Crawl with a Dev. Imagine hundreds of EVE players invading the Reykjavfk nightlife with their Dev in tow!
- Experience Iceland: We want people to see what Iceland is all about and where the inspiration for many of us comes from.
- And as always we expand Fanfest every year to have more of everything and this year is no exception. Tranquility (main presentation area) will feature impressive video and sound and moves to a larger area. The Party at the Top of the World gets yet another face lift to rock your world even more and last but not least, Fanfest attendees will be the first ones to know about the Future of EVE which is shining brighter than ever.
I look forward to seeing you all at Fanfest 2009!

Originally by: LaVista Vista When are we going to get the schedule, oh dear Tyr?
I'm looking forward to seeing if we will get a CSM roundtable and Q&A session again. I'd like to see that really badly.
We have planned to host a CSM panel and QA will host one or more roundtables and possibly some other new events.
We will release the schedule as soon as possible but as you all might know by now, CCP Hellmar will reveal stuff at GDC Europe that might affect our EVE Online Fanfest 2009 content.

Originally by: Nac MacFeegle Just booked my flight, hotel, and pass late last night (in a beer haze). This'll be my second time, first was in 2005.
Some might say I got back into EVE now just so I had an excuse to visit Iceland again... :)
(And hopefully I won't have a headcold this time around.)
Did you impulse-buy your fanfest package while drunk? Because if so, you are awesome!

Eve-Online Fanfest is proud to announce that for one night only ô2 Many DJsö will be headlining the Party On The Top Of The World on the 3rd of October at Laugardalsh÷ll. The Belgian Dewaele brothers, David and Stephen are well known for their combination with Stefaan Van Leuven, Steve Slingeneyer and Dave Martijn, who together formed the incredibly popular band Soulwax.
The trip to Iceland may be cold, yet the band will be met by open arms. Not only does Too Many DJÆs have a huge fan following in Reykjavik, but their sound- a mix of electrorock and clever sampling also shares similar themes with EVE-Online videos, soundtracks and inspirations. The creators of the highly popular Sci-fi game have opened the doors for the whole of Reykjavik to come to one of the largest and most creative parties that Laugardalsh÷ll Convention Center will ever hold.
We will discontinue ticket sales on Account Management on Monday. You will still be able to get your tickets at the Fanfest venue!
Best regards, CCP Tyr
